Both say Cincinnati, Memphis, Marshall, UCF, Colorado State, Boise State and BYU as candidates.

Houston mentioned by Denver post.

Per the Denver Post:

Per the Cincinnati inquirer:

Nothing new. There is quite a large gap between UC and the rest IMO.

If there is such a big gap between Cincinnati and the rest of the candidates Cincinnati would already be in a P5 conference

I agree. I would say Cincinnati would have to be #1 on the list. I think they deserve it. Very well rounded school.
Marshall has no shot at all. Sorry. Every other CUSA school has a better chance than Marshall, and that's not saying much.

not necessarily. Think Big 12. Maybe they felt like Cincy was a great fit- but didn't want to go to 11- and didn't feel strongly about a 12th school at all. Now maybe they're feeling like they have no choice but to go to 12.
I still say they prefer to get ok to have one with 10 which is my guess.

I think they would- but don't think there's a snowballs chance in hell of that getting approved.

I think for one- don't think the other conferences like how much of a money gap Big 12 has on the other conferences due to the fewer mouths to feed.
Big 12 next year 50 million playoff 40 million Sugar 90 million/10 9 mil per
SEC next year 50 million playoff 40 million Sugar 90 million/14 6.4 mil per

pretty big difference there.

Gut feel says it will be Boise and BYU. Because they would want to do it in 2015. I looked out BYU schedule. They have Nebraska and Boise, they would need to buy out the 6 G5 games. I would be shocked if they were more than a million apiece and BYU has the money. Boise will only to buy out the Mountain West, I see alot of B12 and MWC games in the future. I am not sure any AAC school could move this fast. In addition, does the AAC still have the old 24 month rule from the Big East?
MARSHALL!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Cincinnati checks a lot of boxes:
Good Football
Good Basketball
New Market
New Recruiting Area
Bridge to West Virginia
heard them say they didn't think it could happen in time for 2015 at all...

Also- Nebraska isn't in the Big 12 any more....

Did someone mention Marshall as a candidate?

Yeah seriously Marshall makes no sense. Why would they want 2 schools from the state of West Virginia?
Why would they want one school from West Virginia?
yeah...Marshall has no shot at all.

Probably Oliver Luck as the source, giving Marshall some PR, and himself some laughs.
