Season began a few days ago at Eastern Michigan. A recap of UT's performance doesn't seem to be on the UT website as of early Monday morning.

There was no team scoring. Looks like the best the Rockets did was some 2nd and 3rd place finishes. Here's a link to the results.

And here's a link to a preview of the meet. The story (found on the UT site) is dated December 5th.

Next for the Rockets - January 10th at Bowling Green
That's hilarious. They had a thrower's relay. Haven't seen one of those since HS. Thanks for posting- I couldn't find it on any track sites or EMUs site yesterday.
UT women projected to finish 6th in the MAC.

UT ended the day in 5th place, only finishing ahead of IPFW. BG finished first.

Next for the Rockets - an invitational in Ann Arbor on January 17th.
None of the elite distance people ran.
Thanks. That's good to know. After seeing UT had finished behind all the other MAC schools yesterday, my first impression was "this is not a good sign".
Not sure how good we are but our distance people would have piled up points. Not sure thst other schools didn't hold out their top people as well. Usually the big relays are where our distance people run. BG has turned their program around. Lots of throwers getting points for them. Kind of surprised to not see Carly Molls anywhere.
Here's a link to the story on the UT site about the squad's performance at BG.

The article (judiciously) omitted naming any of the other participants. From what I gathered elsewhere the order of finish appears to have been:

1. Bowling Green
2. Miami
3. Ohio U.
4. Dayton
5. UT
On Saturday UT won the distance medley relay at the SPIRE Midwest Open

Pretty nice results given pretty weak competition. Love that Neal and Molls improve almost weekly. Looks like we have some younger middle distance people who are running effectively.

The story doesn't say it, but there was a tweet yesterday that Jarrett's height in the pole vault was a new school record!
Here's a link to a recap of Friday performances. Some Rockets at Iowa State, some at the SPIRE NCAA Invitational.
