Saw on the other USM board so take it for what it's worth but according to a Nashville radio station Cincy and Memphis to Big 12.

Here is the report

If it happens we need to stay at 12
Oh shat, now here we go with more "I want to go to the Aac". "No, it's our turn" posts.
I don't understand Cincinnati and Memphis. Even less than I understand WVU in the B12.

If I were the B12 commish, I would be going after Houston or SMU from the AAC to rekindle some of the rivalries from the SWC days. I get that Memphis and Cincy/NKY are large markets, but good grief, their conference is starting to look more spread than ours.

Except Texas has declared NO more Texas schools...and what Texas wants, Texas usually gets.
Oh ****! Here we go!

Cincy and Memphis fall in the area between WVU and the rest of the conference. They make plenty of sense if the Big XII knows for certain they won't be able to poach the ACC.

Basketball power move.
I guess I'm just old fashioned. I've always thought of the B12 as more of a "Great Plains" conference.

FWIW - I scratched my head when the B10 decided to add Maryland and Rutgers rather than Pitt, Iowa State, Missouri, or Syracuse.
So whose replacing those teams in AAC? UCONN you would think would be fuming if these rumors are true, haha..Pretty soon CUSA and former AAC teams are going to be back together again, haha....

Very true. WVU's closest in-conf rival is Iowa State. That's a Looooooong drive for your nearest conf opponent. It only makes sense to add more closer to WVU and 2 more to get to 12 for a conf championship game.
IF this happens, then UCONN will be the biggest loser in the entire country with all of these realignment moves over the past couple years.

Thats why i wont believe that league expands at all. If they get a team in the playoffs that will probably squash all the expansion rumors.
My question is how the hell did West Virgina think this was a great idea going to the Big 12....They have to be the biggest idiots ever if they are complaining now about how no one is near them......
For your perusal: The Answer
If that happens UAB will be the only school begging to stay in CUSA

I'd believe it when I see it.

Are you suggesting they'd be better off in the AAC?
I love CUSA west. I get to goto all home games and 1 or 2 away each year. I don't see our administration trying to get in the aac. We spent years in the wac and travel sucked.
