I heard/read that starting with the 07-08 bb year, every school will play the other 15, once, plus one other game against an area rival. Does anyone know if this is true or rumor? It seems like the right way to do it, unless the league is split, with a limit # of games from the other division. I would prefer the first scenario. Andy

Disagree. It's not fair to have your top teams needing to play 4 games to win the tournament. Teams that have had great seasons should be rewarded by not having to win 4 games in 4 days.
Fairness from a different view though is lost in the current arrangement. Most of the bottomfeeder conferences give all of their teams a chance at the
Cinderella story in their confernence tournament. The Big East does not and the fact is that their top teams are guaranteed an NCAA berth anyway.
I don't believe every team deserves a chance to make the tournament through the conference tourney. And I guarantee you BE teams 13-16 would never win the tourney.
