I'm not particularly in favor of this game being played to begin with. My reasoning is that it isn't necessarily a hotbed of recruiting like Texas and Louisiana are and if we lose it, it really hurts us in the eyes of the pollsters - a perception because UALR doesn't get much respect nationally which most schools that play FB do. I think we need to schedule and become friendly with schools close to us who have more of a following, who play FB, and where we can recruit and have a footprint. UALR is actually a dangerous team that can hurt our chances of getting an at large bid later on. Should we win? Yes. Can we lose? Yes. Will we lose? Well, IMO not this year.

Their little 5,500 seat gym just isn't big enough. :)
We surely can't lose this ........someone said. I don't know why we play it either.......especially now that we are in the American. We don't need these kinds of games in the future. Tulsa 65....UALR 52......notice I still don't think they can score 70 consistently.
BTW Its my understanding that TU has lost all the games (3) played in LR and stands 4-3 in the series. That also tells me that TU has a habit of scheduling these "nothing" games home and home. That needs to change. Noone wants to play a nonsense game on a sunday afternoon that can only hurt our chances of going to post season. This is an example of why TU athletics is sometimes in the poor shape it is.
