The Faculty Senate meet Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 a.m. in Cudworth Auditorium (moved for anticipated crowd size). This is where you need to strike next. We need a HUGE protest outside the building starting at 7 a.m., and these meetings are open to the public.

We need the mayor and counsel members, local business owners, alumni, and some very sharp, intelligent, passionate, informed individuals to speak.

This is a MUST. I've been told several members of the Senate are pissed about this, and the undergraduate faculty are prepared to vote no confidence, but the medical faculty are hesitant to do so. We need to convince them. SO BE THERE!
Is anyone reaching out to councilors, business owners, etc?
GN, we should probably combine our most recent posts together.
I am not a mod, so I do not have that power. But it's fine with me.

Yes.

Remember, we want No Confidence in Ray Watts (not a football resolution). If you're not familiar, this is a particular term that's pretty much equal to "We demand your resignation."

There are hesitators among most of the schools, though I believe at least one of the schools would vote in a bloc for a public beheading at this point.

Make it All About Ray.
Oddly enough, I will be there.
7am is going to be a tough sell for students.

And it's before classes.
You know what else is tough for students? Having their sport taken away by a heartless bastard. Organize, drink some coffee and get your ass to the meeting. 2 days out and their losing interest?

They're not. It's all over the Facebook pages.

The meeting has been moved to the Cudworth Building auditorium in anticipation of the crowd size. 7:30 to 9:30.
I guessed they would move it; Finley is way to small and it has several large windows (you can see and hear protesters on the patio).
I could be wrong, but I expect Dr. Lucas will toe the company line. If she joins with us in concern for the leadership of the university, I feel like we will win this. If she doesn't support us and instead aligns herself with Dr. Watts, then the road ahead will be quite a bit harder IMO.
I would assume none of senior management will come out against him. If any of them do, they would be forced to resign and sign an NDA.
I don't think Dr. Lucas supports the decision, but I doubt she will come out against Watts.
05-bump Go ahead and make plans to attend.
