adrien robinson out of indianapolis. Also had offers from louisville, west virginia, arkansas, indiana, purdue and michigan state and mississippi.
This coaching staff said that they weren't going to back down from anyone and recruit against the Ohio States and Michigan States of the world. We're in a BCS conference and they're going to treat Cincinnati like a BCS job and they are doing a fine job. I'm pumped! 04-rock
great...now all we need is a QB to throw it to em' ;-)
Scout lists him as a 3* player. He is 6'5" 225lbs and runs a 4.5 40. Very nice pickup for Cincy.

We blew his recruitment this past weekend. The Louisville staff told him they wanted him at TE instead of WR and he pretty much drop us from Leader to none factor.

This was a great pickup for Cincinnati.
Is he going to play WR at UC?

Jackson
I think that is what he has been told.
Wow. Nicely done.

Hopefully Chazz Anderson is the answer. Or we get a surprise pick up. Cross your fingers!
Isn't there a QB from Wake who's home area is Ohio that may be transfering to UC?

Jackson
Good pick up Cincy...keep going after that quarterback position. It may be the last piece of the puzzle.

Yes Jackson. That would be SWEET. The NCAA is cancelling that rule that allows no required sitting out if a player gets his degree early, but the rule is supposedly being grandfathered in. Also, he may get an extra year of eligibility due to his injury. Could be at UC for 2 years.

But I'm not going to hold my breath. UC hasn't historically had luck on its side with the NCAA and its rulings.
Way to go UC. Wish we could'a gotten'em.
The Big East is piling in the talent, especially speed and quality size:

Cincinnati's catch: Warriors' Robinson

By Pat McKee

A long process had a fast ending for Warren Central High School senior Adrien Robinson.

A 6-5, 225-pound wide receiver for the Class 5A state football champion Warriors, Robinson made an oral commitment Wednesday to join the University of Cincinnati in the fall. Robinson's decision came after a quick courtship by new Bearcats coach Brian Kelly that included a Jan. 13 visit to the Big East Conference school.

"I had narrowed my choices to Louisville, Arkansas and Mississippi, but after some coaching changes (at Louisville and Cincinnati), I decided to look at Cincinnati. Coach Kelly was really cool on the visit and with their spread offense, I have a good chance of playing early."
Warren Central coach Steve Tutsie said Robinson -- who had 28 receptions for 432 yards and three touchdowns as a senior -- is likely to play as a true freshman.

"With his size and speed, they don't have another receiver like Adrien," Tutsie said. "And the way they plan to throw the ball and use a number of receivers, he can play right away. And he's such a special guy because for us he took as much pride in his blocking as he did in receiving. But now he'll be in a system that showcases his abilities."

Robinson is the sixth Warren Central senior football player to announce his college choice: running back Darren Evans is headed to Virginia Tech, while offensive lineman Andrew McDonald, defensive lineman Jeff Boyd and defensive backs Jerimy Finch and Chris Adkins all are bound for Indiana.

The football signing period begins Feb. 7.

We have had an excellent recruiting season, which is VERY good considering our coaching change. Everyone said that Kelly was a huge upgrade over Dantonio, despite Dantonio's success, and it's coming to fruition. Kelly has said he will recruit against other BCS schools even Ohio State, something our past couple of coaches were scared to do (though in Coach Minter's case he had to use C-USA against other BCS conferences), and now we're seeing the results. Kelly wants to be here, he wanted a BCS job like crazy and now he taking full advantage of it. Hopefully he takes us down the same road of success as a Virginia Tech or Kansas State or Louisville.
hopefully we can hang on to kelly...if so I can see BCS in our future

Yeah, really. I dont know much about him, but he seems to be a solid coach. I just hope that he's not as ambitius as Petrino was. Where is he originally from? What school did he attend?

Good pick up for the bearcats. I know i'm late, but this guy came from a great program up in Indy and should be able to help immediately. I'm still kinda upset Krag didn't want him as a WR even though I know we probably have to many. I just think you can never have to much talent. Cincy definitly got a good one though.
