Nebraska hires Mike Riley head caoch at oregon st where he was 93-80. Fire a guy who is 67020ish and hire a new guy who is 93-80
Florida pays CSU $5 M buyout plas a guaranteed game for $2M
Im scratching my head over the Nebraska hire. Oh well I guess
Oregon St. would be the perfect place for PJ Fleck.

Everyone says Riley is a nice guy. Pelini was widely disliked by Nebraska fans and administrators for telling the truth whether it was good for the program or not. Probably one of the reasons.

Probably a better place for the whole "Rowing Thing"

For the Beavers, he should change it to 'building a dam 1 stick at a time' or 'Gnawing the wood' or 'Petting the Beaver'.
As for the florida hiring, the buyout was originally $7.5 the president dropped it to 7. Florida is paying $3 now, the coach is paying the $2 now and then CSU will go to Gainesville and get $2 in a few years.

PJ got in trouble for this.

LOL - OMG, the catch-phrase possibilities would be ENDLESS. Yes, when he does leave, I WOULD want him to go to Oregon State -- a lot to draw from humorously. But, he's not leaving this year. Virtually impossible. If he had a decent year last year and/or some real experience prior to last year -- he may go, after going 8-4 this year. Another one would be a place with Illinois (fighting illini), but Beckman's there to stay for a bit. MAYBE when WMU beats Illinois in 2016, Illinois will hire him after that! Cubit vs Fleck -- will be sweet in '016!

When we criticize who's replacing this guy, well, you have to look who he's replacing, to be fair....
one might get away with petting the beaver but petting the booster's beaver might me more dangerous--of course that is all just trashy on-line rumor which I don't personally believe

Since 2006 Top 20 Finishes
Nebraska 2
Oregon St 2
I think we would all agree that Nebraska money facilities and conference is much more conducive to winning than Oregon St.
Riley may be the real deal he may bomb. But I think we can all agree, if we were nebraska fans, we would be at least a bit puzzled by hiring a guy with a losing conference record in the last 5 years and finished 5-7 this past season.
They were puzzled by the Tim Miles hiring too.. That seems to be working out

Jeez. I picture the Big Eye of Mordor (GTS) looking our way.
I actually liked Pelini's rant after the game where he called the students fair-weather fans for leaving at halftime and talked about a character kid making a big play and playing well. Nebraska wants to win national tittles bad because living there is like watching boys dont cry on repeat. Good luck recruiting nationally and I hope we kick their ass.

I doubt Oregon St. Is familiar with Fleck. I could see a Big 10 team taking a chance on him but I doubt he has any connections at Oregon.
