I came across this one a FB group and decided to hunt down the source:

TCU AD Chris del Conte delivers some excellent comments on how his school, with a student population less than 9,000, has boosted the profile of the university. "We're the brand of our institution."

A few quotes of his that stood out:

"It was so awe-inspiring to have a chancellor and a board with this audacious goal" when describing a meeting when he was charged with getting them into a major conference. I heard that and couldn't help but think about Volker's words.

"When you commit to a school, it's not a 5 year decision, it's a 50 year decision."

Around 1:06:00-1:07:51 is when it really hits home.

"We were a good regional university, but because we had a chancellor who wanted to become global, and through the rise of sport, we have changed the face of TCU."

The clip of that aforementioned quote is here:

The situation of TCU has always made me angry to think about because around 10 years ago they were in a very similar situation as us in terms of resources and the attitude that surrounds student life. The physical environment around the campus is a little different but there are A LOT of lessons we can take from their experience. I won't forget whipping their butts a while back, and now they are in the play-off. 03-hissyfit
