So there is this group for accountants that meets once a month, and I decide to go to the meeting last week. We had some speakers that day who perform lie detector test for the state come and speak to us. Learned a lot of good things that day, maybe even how to beat one of those things. LOL Anyway, how many of you think the good Dr. Watts could pass a test related to his intentions with this report and football.

Couple of questions. He said he would accelerate the results of the study. What was the original dead line? Next year? Did he accelerate it because he saw Clark becoming too successful too fast? I guess that would ruin his plans. He had to stop the train before it got going down the tracks. Just doesn't make sense. The man is full of crap. Should never be trusted again.

Absolutely wouldn't pass. You could tell both he and the other guy that spoke at the press conference were nervous/anxious.
Truly Full of Shi+... That's all I got out of that.
I think, but not sure, that it was accelerated due to all the controversy that the program "might" be shut down so they sped up the report (not that it would've mattered since we all know that it was already decided long before the study was started). I think it might have originally supposed to be released late Dec or Jan
I think he could pass a lie detector test because he is a sociopath with no human emotions.

Watts still cant believe he got away without Tristan Henderson ripping his head off. He has been on borrowed time since 2:45.

And Smithers has too.

18 month study for a 9-page report I could have done without any research at all...

This joke of a study is exactly what I thought it was going to be a couple of weeks ago...incomplete.
It said exactly what everyone knew it'd say that UAB football needed major investment. If we'd been allowed to make those investments all these years that other universities did, we'd probably not be in this boat IF WE HAD CONTROL over our own university.
75 million dollars for:

30,000 seats and 15 Luxury boxes at 20k each a year & pre sold for 5 years.

On 60 million financed, the bond payment would be $270,000 a month, or 3.25 million a year.

25,000 tickets sold at $30 each = $750,000.00 per game

$750,000 x 7 home games = 5.25 million just from UAB playing at the stadium.

UAB would clear an extra 2 million a year by having it's own stadium.

And that doesn't included leasing it to the city for H.S. football, big concerts, etc.

And we still haven't sold the first hotdog or burger.

The math isn't hard.
I think Watts would pass it with lying....I mean flying colors!
He is a neuroscientist so he could lie to the lie detector...

You are absolutely correct. Never once were we asked to contribute to any campaign to benefit football.
