What can we do to get Watts removed and at some point have a college football team again?

A vote of confidence by the Faculty Senate. Do our best to remind him every day he is not welcome at UAB. Or an investigation by an outside source ie SACS.

You should contact your State Representatives and tell them it is a very bad idea to hurt one of the State's largest employers located in the middle of the State's largest economic center.
Graduation should be interesting this year. Isn't there one coming up soon? They didn't have ceremonies in December when I went, but I think they do now. Does the president have any participation in the graduation ceremony. It would be a fine time to make a statement.

There is one on the 13th and the president typically shakes hands and gives out the diplomas.
& does he not also make a speech?

Betcha he doesn't this time. Your degree will be handed to you by the UAB police officer on the right. You are to shake the hand of the UAB police officer on the left. Please do not hurt the president.

I think so. But it's been a few years since I graduated. I can't remember.
Yes, he is supposed to make a speech. He is going to have a really hard time on the Dec 13th graduation.

I've done that up close and personal and they assured me that they are for UAB having autonomy or at minimum equal representation on the BOT. We need the delegation from Jefferson and Shelby Counties to raise holy hell until UAB is free of UAT period.

The only Montgomery people we've heard from are Jack Williams and John Rodgers. The others have been very quiet. The Jefferson County delegation is a joke. The only pro-Birmingham/UAB voices are those two. Its a shame that they are so quiet on an issue the affects them and their "people" so much. Especially those that are so vocal about issues when they are in the vast majority. I wouldn't vote for any of 'em. I guess we can count them among those in fear of the BOT. The same can be said about the other municipalities in the metro area. Don't they know this affects them...

Mine doesn't understand how UAB impacts us. I had to spell it out in my letter.
