I believe that we, as Monarch fans, are in a unique position to help UAB given that we are in the same conference and have just recently started football and moved up, having realized the still increasing positive effects of ODU football on all stakeholders including the university and community at large.

I'm really busy, so I can't do anything for a couple days. But I'll leave this here and point you to requested deliverable #2 and #4.

Quote:I need the following:

1) Concise form letter from a UAB person, suitable for print or fax or email.
2) Concise form letter from a non-UAB person, suitable for print or fax or email.
3) Super concise form letter from a UAB person, suitable for handwritten letter/fax.
4) Super concise form letter from a non-UAB person, suitable for a handwritten letter/fax.

I also need an optional paragraph if either the UAB or non-UAB person are from the state of Alabama. This needs to talk about responsible handling of your tax dollars, and about where in the UA system the money comes from (UAB) and how the UAB football team is self-sustaining and funds other sports despite being facility hamstrung by UABOT.

It should talk -- in both -- about the opportunities provided by collegiate athletics, in particular football, and the tremendous pride/economic income/community/personal growth it can bring the athletes and the community.

I also need for a spot in the letter for the UAB person to specify if they are faculty/staff/student/fan or any combination of the former. And a spot for the non-UAB person to specify who they root for.

With these bits I can create a simple form where you can specify if you live in Alabama and your relation to UAB and BAM out pops a long form and short form letter.

These letters need to be addressed to as yet unnamed political figure(s).

Get on it. Post contribution here so it can be proofed/etc.
