I have been informed that The Board of Trustees PR people are blowing up the al.com articles and it will increase over this week. It is pretty apparent who they are. They have the same talking points and are bringing out only the negative information. They have finally awakened. They will focus a lot of it on the last three years which was our worst. They will twist the truth and try to win back public opinion.

I want to encourage everyone who can, each day to go view each article and combat these people. Please stay positive and combat them with facts. Make this a daily ritual in the morning, at lunch, or in the evening before you go to bed. Feel free to use this thread to discuss and maybe even point some of them out.

Each day we are winning. There was supposed to be an announcement last Wednesday and it didn’t happen. Sunday and it didn’t happen. Today and it didn’t happen. The longer it goes on the better chance we have. Coach Clark is here to fight to the end and if they do announce something negative he will fight some more.

If you have an issue with doing this please just don’t bother commenting and wasting our time with having to deal with it. We are serious in our efforts and need everyone else to be serious as well. 05-ban
I know this will probably never happen, but it would be interesting if al.com could do some investigation into the IP addresses of some of these posters to see if they could be tied to some of the BOT members.
Oh I'm sure its their minions who live all over. I guess a Cullman IP might be interesting.
I was thinking some Bryant Bank offices. I don't feel like most of them are intelligent enough to cover their tracks. I've done this type of analysis on websites before. Sometimes you find some really interesting stuff.
Can we start putting the articles in this thread as they become apparent? It would be easiest to target them if they were all in one place.

Far more likely these are paid meat puppets - the repetitive language gives it away, and some Trustees have been known to use internet-scrubbing services.

Call them out on it. Ask them for personal insights. They will be unable to answer, because their sheet of talking points is limited.
If those are BOT PR folks then they are pretty horrible at writing.

Tying this back to the BOT would be a story into itself. Has anyone told Scarbinsky?
I'm sure he knows :-)
You might could inform Raita.
How I responded to some post:

And since you speak so much about free tickets, where are they coming from? Show proof that UAB is handing out free tickets. How about boosters and sponsors buy tickets and give them to emloyees and donate tickets to youth groups who other wise wouldn't get a chance to go.

Oh I am a pretty good smack talker in Spanish...
This likely espy. They used the same tactic in the gambling issue.
This is an organized effort on their behalf to stymie the flow of facts? For real? For the longest time, I thought those folks in the comments sections of these various articles and what not were just trolls or misinformed.

If that's the best they can do then at least we don't have to worry about the PR arm of the Board of Trustees. It's just like you guys said. It's either they focus on attendance, quality of the program, finances, or some other talking point. Perhaps we could start using their badgering against them in the form of a FAQ to get more people informed?

Oh yeah, it's a whole industry. I had an employee leave for a company that specialized in celebrities, since she could work at home. "Brad Pitt" on twitter was an angry middle-aged chick wearing footie pajamas in her basement in Crestwood. Really.

The FAQ idea is brilliant. Can someone build this asap?

My thoughts exactly. If commenting on articles on al.com is their tactic, I like our odds.

Is this company hiring?
This is hard... first to read the comments and then to respond politely.
