Inma is also the MAC West Player of the Week.

Doesn't seem to be mentioned on the UT site as of now (Monday night). Here's a link to the news release on the MAC website.

Stupid MAC site still has last year's women's stats as most recent.
Will anyone else NOT miss Bradford next year? What a talent! Her week was at least the equal of Inma's if , perhaps, against lesser competition.

Though she is a great player, the program certainly hasn't went to heights I thought it would when she signed there 4 yrs ago. Sure they have went to the NCAAs but I was expecting with her potential, Sue Guevara to surround her with enough talent to get a Sweet 16 or lower appearance and maintain that level of success. Perhaps Bradford wasn't enough of an ambassador or recruiter for the school to get the right girls to make a run at a championship...

Same could be said of Knuth, I suppose. I don't think being an ambassadors or recruiter makes much difference over a four year span in a mid-major conference. The MAC will not compete at the level of the Tennessees, Connecticuts, vanderbilts, etc very often no matter how skilled one team member is as a player or ambassadors. I hate Bradford but sure enjoy watching her play.

I would put it as the WBB equivalent to a football win over Iowa State by a couple of scores.

Moving Inma to the point appears to have significantly improved the team's performance and they may actually do a lot better this year than most people expected. The team really needed a freshman to really step up and play MAC All Freshman team type ball and so far Rasmussen has been doing just that.

They are still a very young team with a lot of room for improvement so by the end of the season they may be very good indeed. I also liked the fact that Elena came in and shot 2 for 2 for 5 points in very little floor time. If she can ever get past the injury bug I think she has the potential to be an efficient and major scorer for the team.

The difference between the team's performance over the weekend versus the beginning of the season rests overwhelmingly on the shoulders of Inma. She scored 4 points in the opening game and did not stand out against the backdrop of competitors. In the last two games she scores 48 points and, after three years of mediocre perimeter shooting seemingly can't miss. IMO this team will go about as far as Inma can take them with her leadership both on and off the court. She is a top 5 MAC talent and she will need to play like it every game for the Rockets to make serious noise.
We as a team are no better than second or third in the west, likely a 4-7 seed in the MAC tourney. Prove me wrong girls! Go Rockets!
