The deadline for the search process has been moved to the middle of December (done so very quietly)....worried this might mean that the candidate pool may be weak? Any one else here anything?

I guess they didn't get the quality they were looking for. Fewer people want to be university presidents these days.

We should ask The Blade (formerly known as "The Toledo Blade") who they favor. They seem to always want to assert their thoughts in everything UT does.

But we wouldn't want John Robby Bloch as our president. We need to keep searching.
Happened to be looking at the on-line Blade and saw that azz-wipe in a picture at the Anderson's with the 1 1/2 ton Bloch of cheese. Does he dress himself? He also needs to just buy a clip-on bow tie if that is all the better he can tie one.

I propose we hire Bill Gates... or just hire his foundation as the next president. That would solve a lot of problems about being getting into another conference, offering full scholarships to the top students, a domed stadium with retractable roof, endowments for hiring the top coaches - we could get Saban back, money to cure the Ebola outbreak, and fund scholarships for a wrestling team. Gates could hire his buddy Warren Buffet as dean of students.
