I'm recording the game on my dvr and I was shocked because why would you run that commercial if there are talks concerning ending the program.

Because ending the program talk started with "inside information".

Dear God...the commercial was sponsored by donors and businesses in an attempt to stand with the Save UAB Football stuff. It was not exclusively an OCS commercial. The commercial playing here isna shorter version the excludes other stuff.

UAB isn't paying for that commercial and are probably pissed it is being run along side the Campaign for UAB ones.

Oh, for crying out loud. http://bhamforuab.com/ has the full length commercial. What's been running is 30 seconds edited out of it.

There's also a nice list of businesses standing up for UAB. You might want to spend some money with them as you can.

They've earned it.

Because it is not sanctioned or paid for by UAB

The commercial played and also I may be wrong but I thought UAB has to give explicit permission for any entity outside of the university to use its name and logo.

You would be wrong. And they did not use UAB's logo...they used footage of UAB's logo.

Speaking of commercials, I saw one of the Campaign for UAB that had the illustrious Watts in it in a Dr's coat

Is it that scumbag Watts or the nice physician in the commercial that runs at the Bart?

I thought that the OCS commercial was well done.
