This is simply not true. The threat to athletics has been and continues to be real.

I hope this is true. This would make sense-stay quiet let passion build to a boiling point then announce due to outpouring of support football survives, contract extension, etc. If it does go this way my blazer booster membership will begin!

I'm with BlazerMatt on this one... no way a highly educated university president chooses to alienate the entire undergraduate population and undermine a $1 billion fundraising campaign to secretly drum up support for the football program. UAB is taking a big PR hit from this.
I wonder what his motivation is because that's what he's doing.

Whatever he was trying to do was badly played and got blown up. They still might kill football, but that remains true.

at no point did i think anybody would believe what i wrote as the real scenario
Note that "if circumstances permit'? That means that if UAB does not get their act together and give him a contract and some meaningful assurances about the future of the program, he'll be working somewhere else next season.

We've been saying that for three weeks now, it's not news. Except to you, maybe.

I thought Troy had there next coach lined up? You said Troy wasn't interested in Clark. Now you are simply trolling. May be you should go away and let the situation play out.

Hard to imagine how TSU frames this to their fans...wait... Hard to care how TSU frames this to their fans. With this entire FUBAR situation from our AD all the way up to the Gov, Clark will give every last chance to the very last second for UAB to do the right thing...even with Pike County having been a clear option, with a good salary, for a while now.

So another website is caught up to the situation as it has been for the past week? Keep up the breaking news alerts.
