If WKU pulls the upset does that eliminate our bowl chances?
If Southern Miss pulls the upset, THAT eliminates our bowl chances. Otherwise we still have six wins and are bowl eligible.
for it to matter, Marshall would have to pass Boise St in the rankings, which i don't think will happen. so really, i don't think it matters whether they win or lose. however, i'll hold out hope that marshall wins and jumps boise
Wku goes to 7 wins if that happens. That cripples our bowl hopes.
Marshall needs to win, UAB has to win. When choosing UAB vs. WKU, UAB has the head to head which probably won't mean much. It may come down to fan base. Who travels more? That edge may be to WKU.
UAB would not be the first - or the last - "bowl eligible" team to get left out with a 6-6 or better record. I hope we get the win so we have the chance to be selected. The rest is not under our control.

I hope we win, get selected for a bowl and that the game is geographically close enough for many of us to attend.

The conference announced 7 win teams will get first cracks at the bowls. It benefits us to have marshall fighting for the access bowl, and for other teams to have 6 wins. We all understand 6 win teams have made bowls, but wouldn't look good for us if this result holds.(it's now 42-21)

Hopefully our tenure in C-USA compared to WKU's will count for something.

This game is ridiculous.
WKU-49, Marshall-35 in the 2nd quarter ?!?! 04-jawdrop

Yes it is. A qb breaking a school record for td passes in a game at halftime is pretty awesome.
If we beat usm and wku holds on to beat Marshall, what does that do to our bowl chances?
A WKU win is almost killer for UAB and the MT/UTEP loser. All the C-USA bowls would be filled. We'd need a back up selection.
Yeah we really need Marshall to win this. It's really too bad we couldn't get that 1st down last Saturday :(. So close.
Marshall might give up 800 yards which is just embarrassing.
If Marshall loses this game, it pretty much will not matter what UAB does tomorrow from a bowl perspective.
This game certainly hasn't featured a lot of defense
