Hate it for the kid after finally getting his chance to start-

Texans quarterback Ryan Mallett has been declared out for the season following a torn pectoral muscle he suffered Sunday against the Bengals, reports the Houston Chronicle.

That's awful isn't it. I was really hoping he'd get a good chance and do well. I still think they like him, and he'll be the starter next season, assuming this isn't a career ending injury, which I don't think it will be. Just bad luck.
