And if he doesn't get picked up Tony Annese should be the man. His teams always win at every level. If the chimps fire Enos(please god no) I bet they hire him.

Not as high energy as Pj but who in the world his but he runs an exciting offense and can get kids from all around michigan and I would bet he could kill the 6 hour radius.

Brady Hoke!
Seriously though, I gave heard him on a couple radio spots, seems like a winner
I think after seeing the amazing coaching and recruiting job that RichRod is doing in Tucson, that scUMs problems might be bigger than just the HC.

Oh yeah, and to think of a whole generation of Wal Mart fans that they might lose is a travesty. 04-rock

I hate to see a nice, professional guy like Brady get caught up in that mess. He's conducted himself as a class act his whole career.
Hoke got a nice payday, enough to cover his needs for a couple decades to come, 4.3 mil is no joke. Plus whatever severance and he will land somewhere bigger than his MAC days, with any luck, write a book, whatever.

That situation at UM is hard to understand. I used to follow them, and my interest slipped away probably 1997 was the last time I got excited about UM. The Fab Five thing hurt them bad, then just this culture of arrogance. Thinking they were entitled, etc. I admit at one time they had something special, but not for a long time.
Great call Kimbo. Annese has won at every level and continues to build amazing programs. I think that a MAC gig is definitely in his near future as the next step. CMU or WMU would be lucky to get him. I could see him having a Brian Kelly type turn around for CMU and/or to continue to build on the newfound success at WMU. Which if either was the case might mean a short stint at that level, but that's what MAC programs should hope for anyways. Find a coach that can come in, make the program a winner and interesting. And then move on to bigger and better and hope that the program he leaves can sustain itself for years to come.
Tony is getting to the age (mid-50s) where his next move may be his last, although I suspect his ambition is above MAC.
Annese has a nephew playing at CMU...not sure what year? Sr maybe.
I've thought for two years now he would be the next CMU coach. Given the Kelly GLIAC to MAC connection. Suprisingly EMU didn't give him much of a sniff.

He had a little player problem that led him to getting suspended by AD for one game last season.

This is first year he's won GLIAC too.

Think that was due to Annese's suspension at the end of the year last year due to an incident with his team. EMU was in no position to look at Annese after the incident with their last coach which lead to his firing.

I could definitely see Hoke ending up somewhere in the MAC if he wants to be a head coach again. By comparison, you could argue that Terry Bowden had a more successful run at Auburn compared to his run at U-M, and Frank Solich certainly had a better run at Nebraska.

Hoke has had a bad run at U-M, but like Rich Rod, that doesn't mean he's a bad coach. Hoke's overall track record isn't bad.

Annese interviewed at CMU when Enos got the job. I think he would be a great candidate, though he does have some baggage. He was suspended by Ferris for a week last year during the season. Not sure what the story was but think it had to do with things he said in a team meeting.
I remembered after major posted it. Something about halftime and hitting some guys shoulder pads and shaking someone. He swears alot I guess. Seems to be doing fine this year. Might have been the first time someone put him in check. I worked camps with him when he was at Muskegon and I thought he was an arrogant azzhole but he wins.
