GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yawn. Shouldn't you guys worry about beating NIU first?
We're worried about BOTH. :) Actually less "worried" about the EMU game because that's like asking a super-model to take me home with her. Sooo..... expectations aren't really there. But you can still hope.
Obviously. Yet here you are, for whatever reason.

Those were my mom's first words to me when I was born! How did you know?? :)
Dressing warm there will be little sunshine and low 30s, haven seen what the winds will be.
What I like is that there are meaningful MAC games being played Friday.

Ditto the WMU/CMU game last Saturday. That game was very good MAC FB with a large crowd which braved icy roads, arrived late, and stayed throughout the game. It was nice to see thousands of fans trying to get into Kelly-Shorts while the game had already started.

The NIU/WMU game is a biggie too.
BTW, no one like the Rockets? 03-lmfao
Every game is meaningful!

The Toledo game is the last of the season for EMU and they need this win to end the season on a high note. UT is on top of the MAC right now so how better to end a bad season then with a big victory!?!

This is your bowl game and it is being played in your house, now go kick some azz! 04-rock
I'd laugh if we beat Toledo but you guys end up losing to NIU. Your board would be even more hilarious than it usually is.
Broncos are EMU's bestest buddies this week.
Roback is listed #3 on the QB depth chart, so the chances of him playing are closer to none, than slim.

Regardless of how his career plays out, he'll benefit from a redshirt year (I wish he was redshirted last year).

O/T: But WMU has a situation, too, at QB. Terrell bloomed as a soph. Chance Stewart is redshirting as a frosh (listed as a 4-star recruit). So next year a 4-star redshirt frosh backing up a junior. Most 4-star QBs don't go to MAC schools to be back-ups. He could have been a B1G backup, if he didn't want to start early. Will he be happy to wait 3 years to start????

Back to EMU, we'll have a redshirt soph (Bell) and another redshirt soph (Roback). Will they both be happy????
I imagine Roback will eventually transfer if Bell keeps progressing like this. Yet further proof that recruiting stars mean nothing once the game is played.

Agree, with the caveat that Roback might have been 'done in' by a new coaching staff with a different offensive philosophy.

The offense seems tailored for a QB like Bell.

Yes Roback transferring would not surprise me, hence perhaps the interest in the JUCO QB as a backup, wonder if Harris who likely has redshirted this season will switch back from WR to QB, he usually takes pre game snaps at QB.

Agree, that dual threat JUCO QB is suggestive of the need to bring in a QB who is a good fit within the CC offense.
I noticed Kent Collins name was not included in the list of graduating seniors in the gameday notes, is he back for another year or gone?

Haven't checked the game notes for game participation but he hasn't played a game all year. Correct?

Assume it means he can come back for 2015.

EDIT: He is still on the roster but didn't play a game all season so I assume he can come back next year. Why he didn't play is presumably a mystery.

Garrett Parker, on the other hand, is a 4-year player but was medically ineligible to play this year.

A similar situation happened whatever year bsu was good. WMU needed to beat bsu and needed EMU to beat CMU . EMU won but Wmu had already lost.

In one of the pre-season player interview videos he said one of his goals was to "get healthy". He wasn't in any sort of cast, walking boot, etc, which would suggest some other type of injury such as neck or back.
