I don't want to over-expect, but I feel like we will have a solid crowd tomorrow. I see people are saying they have x number of guests coming with them, many of which are not regulars. I have done the same.

So, I'm excited about the game, even though Marshall looks VERY good. I worry that they will hand it to us, but I also dream of the upset. We've seen it before. Regardless, I'm mostly wanting to see an outpouring for our team regardless of the outcome of this game!!
How many do you think a 10-0 Marshall team will bring? I wonder if they have a lot of Atlanta-area alumni?

At least one ATL Herd fan came on this site and said he was coming. I hope they bring as many as LA Tech did. We'll see!
They've been traveling pretty well this year.
I expect lots of Herd players' families to make the trip as there are many players on the roster from Georgia and Florida.
The tickets were given out to the local schools... My teacher friend from Hoover City Schools snapped me a picture earlier of the UAB Family Four Packs that she was to distribute. Maybe some families will take advantage of those. And thanks to whomever bought and PAID for those to be given. Very nice gesture.
Let's be clear that those tickets were purchased and donated to those schools by some very generous supporters of UAB Football.
Right now I'm bringing 5 or 6 with me. Had to borrow a car to get them all down to Birmingham.
Just wondering. Is there a bus that runs for students to get to the game?

Exactly! I made sure I told her that someone paid for those and expressed thanks to that person or persons in my post. It was very generous of them. Hopefully many many of the students and their families use the tickets tomorrow.
Bringing 16 in my group this time. My largest group ever. 12 from Cullman. 5 who have never been to a UAB game!
There's actually a buzz about the game around town. I'm sacrificing for UAB... I told one of the annoying/obnoxious people from work about the game and now he's wanting to go. For the good of UAB, I'll be bringing him to the game. Ha.

On a positive, other people at work are wanting to come but we're worried about the game selling out. Granted, they don't know much about UAB, Legion Field, and the attendance of UAB games but that shows, to me, that there's buzz about the game considering they've been hearing about the game and a ranked team being in town.

That made me laugh. Good luck tomorrow. You are indeed making a sacrifice.
I'm in Atlanta for a conference....I'm trying to figure out how I can sneak away for 9+ hours and not be missed.

It's killing me to be this close and not coming

Game is falling at a tough time, just before christmas shopping etc. I say you will see between 1000 to 1500 herd fans at best. Most likely 700-1000.

I really hope this isnt uabs last home game.
We had a really good crowd there. I don't care what any bull**** number that gets announced. This was EASILY our third most attended game this year and it's late November , a time of year that most G5 programs don't get many fans to games.
Huge crowd. Kept coming in long into the first quarter. It took us the longest of the whole season to get out of the parking lot after the game... I know that several photos were taken of the crowd by Blazer Fans. If there are any efforts by bean counters or our detractors to minimize the attendance, we have plenty of evidence to counter such crap.

They announced over 28,000. Is that good enough for everyone?
