Way better than I thought! Nice job Toledo!!!

The end of the game crowd was about the size i thought would be there, with about 500 left at the end

Looked pretty good on TV. Better than any other Maction game this season so far.
I am stuck in Indiana but was amazed at the east side I assume West was same or better.
Detroit area crowd at BDubs in Rochester Hills were solidly Rocket fans. Seemed to know a lot about their history. Also felt like BG was a good team - thus ending their credibility...
Yep, crowd was far in excess of my expectations. Wish we didn't have so many duck out at halftime, but I say that during & after every 60+ degree Saturday game too.
Kudos to everyone that was at the Glass Bowl tonight!!! Crowd was definitely better than I expected, especially in the first half. Go Rockets!!! BGSUcks!!! 5 in a row!!!
Can you image what that crowd would have been if it was a Saturday afternoon 2:00 pm start, with NO TV so people could stay home and watch?
17,486
great number for a MACtion night.

Puts NIU's 8k to shame.

One of the few times I had no problem with people ducking out at half. Crowd was great considering the circumstances. You can't blame students with early classes, working professionals, etc for leaving.
Be there for 60 minutes!
Again, UT is the best school in the MAC in support of our program...no one in the running!01-ncaabbs

I can't stand OU, but I think they likely have the upper hand right about now. They average more in football and way more in basketball thanks to the convo.

Hate to do this, but I have to agree with a BG fan on this one.
We're a school in a metropolitan area with more than 300,000 people within a 30 minute drive to the Glass Bowl and Savage Arena. We shouldn't have any issues what so ever, selling Savage out for most every home baseball game. Yes, I know we're in osu/mich area, but Athens is closer to osu and not far from Univ. of West Virginia.
OU fans all live in the po dunk town and dont have to travel far. Yes their basketball support is supperb but their NIU crowd was as aweful as the rest of the MAC excluding us. Mind you that it was colder and they arent playing for much. Still. Proud of our fans. Hope some make the EMU trip and hopefull a MAC ship as well!! Heard if we lose in MACC it is off to Boise again... Yikes. Lets not let that happen!!
Or The Bahamas. I mean, it'd be awesome for our guys to make the trip out there, but how do you afford to get all those players to make that trip? And passports and whatnot. It'd be a net loss for sure. Of course, so was the last Boise trip.
Boise is no reward.

There is nothing else to do in Athens and no multiple pro sports close by. A good chunk of the metro Toledo area is within 30 minutes of BG. The population of Bowling Green plus students should sell out their small (4,000) basketball arena every game but don't come close, and should be a guaranteed 15K for football. Add in alumni and fans from a reasonable area and they should be close to selling out their FB stadium.

Watch it.....03-shhhh I got slammed when I complained the last time UT had to go to Boise for a bowl game............
Might have to give you OU on the crowd...but UT is certainly #2 for sure. My only answer to the crowds we have w/ 300K in the area is MAC fatigue04-jawdrop...people are tired of the MAC including the free range chickens down south. Any way great crowd last night considering TV, weather, mid-week, etc. Go Rockets.
