On ESPN3 right now. Wild game so far. VCU's half court offense is Murphy-esque, but man do they get after it defensively. Toledo hanging right with them though.
At the half, Toledo 45 VCU 42.

Me thinks the MAC is a lot better then folks think and Toledo is one reason why.

The MAC has not had a bad game yet this season... Three very competitive games vs. Utah, Kentucky and now VCU.
VCU with TONS of bad fouls. Those prevented any possible run they could make. I'm impressed with Toledo. They have a great shot at pulling this off.
And best of all, the MAC has WMU!!
Just ask broncojohny. :)
Toledo only down 3 and the under 4:00 timeout. Great finish likely coming.
Anddd maybe not. VCU finally breaking Toledo down. Would've been nice to see Toledo pull it out here.

This is a bit off topic, but have you seen WMU's OOC schedule? Lots of road games, but their "marquee" matchup is probably Northwestern, who is a Big Ten bottom feeder. I know we are disappointed with out 4 NAIA games, but at least those don't count against the RPI. Our defending conference champ didn't exactly challenge themselves with that OOC lineup. At least Toledo went to VCU (and are going to Oregon), but if we want the conference perception to be better, then our best teams need to schedule tougher opponents.

Also play Duke.
