The Owls close out the regular season tonight at 7:00 v Marshall and Saturday at 1:00 v UTSA, both at Tudor Fieldhouse. The Owls are 21-7 and in third place in Conference USA, with UTSA in first. A good run this week will put us in a good spot for the conference tournament, which is the ticket to the NCAA tournament.
Coach Volpe and the volleyball Owls are great representatives of Rice and need our support. Go Owls!

Owls lost Thursday night to Marshall 3-2 (13-15 in the final set) ... their second home loss in the last three matches, both to teams behind the third-place Owls (now 11-4) in the
conference standings.
Saturday's match is with UTSA, which dropped down into a tie for the C-USA lead with Western Kentucky (14-1), after North Texas (10-5) defeated the Roadrunners tonight in their fourth consecutive sweep (including Rice last week).
The
Mean Green face 10th place UTEP (4-11) in their season finale on Saturday. If North Texas wins and Rice loses, both will be tied for 3rd place with 11-5 records, and they split their head-to-head matches (Rice won in Denton on Oct. 1). I wonder what the next tie-breaker would be. Beating UTSA on Saturday will make that moot, of course. Go Owls!!!
