Wait... What?!?! *shakes head violently* This is a joke right? They have a conference loss in the MAC, almost lost to a poor MAC team in Kent State, almost lost to another poor MAC team playing with a WR at QB and a decimated defensive backfield (at home), and they are "on the radar" for an access bowl? I am almost speechless. This would be one of the most embarrassing moments for the young college football committee second only to OSU making the playoff.
I'm sure it would require some additional losses by the current G5 leaders. Can't see that happening, and it would be ugly if we ended up playing somebody really good, unless they start playing better than they have been.

No chance anyone from the MAC gets an access bowl! Dont worry about it.
Based on what I've seen from this Toledo team before DMac at QB, I thought even if we got a bowl game invite that we would get CRUSHED!!!

Now that I've seen DMac play, I feel that this team will be very competitive against most teams that they would potentially play.

With DMac, the offense is more dangerous because you have a dual-threat QB. Even on a passing play, if the pocket breaks down he still has a chance to get the first down. The read-option running plays are now DEADLY. Plus, with the offense controlling the clock the defense has a chance to rest.

Why didn't this staff put Macon in sooner. Why???? 03-banghead03-hissyfit01-wingedeagle

Have you watched football during the whole span of your 5507 posts??????? Lets hold judgement until after a team has prepared for the read play. I not completely convinced he is dual threat either,Unless that is bubbles, quick slants, and a post when 9 defensive players are in the box.

I will defer to your posting experience. BUT, I may be back quickly after the BG game. Either to bow to your masterful insight or to tell you, I knew you were full of XXXX. :)

Listen Captain Buzzkill, this is the first time that I've been excited this season by QB play. Don't ruin it for me. 03-lmfao

Well, there technically *IS* a chance, albeit a very very small one.

MW: Nevada loses @AirForce and to Fresno, but beats Boise in the MWC game -- 8-5.
CUSA: LA-Tech loses @Old Dominion, but beats Marshall in the CUSA game -- 9-4.
AAC: Memphis winning out on their remaining easy games (this will probably happen) and wins AAC -- 9-3
Sun Belt: LA-Lafayette goes 8-4 to represent Sun Belt (GA Southern not eligible for this bowl; may get into some on 6-6 level-entry)

MAC: NIU wins out and beats @Ohio, @WMU, and BGSU in MACC -- 11-3

You don't think it'd at least be a close call? :)

It'd be funny if Florida State lost a game, didn't go to the playoffs -- and there's a Florida State vs NIU re-match - lol.
NIU beating Northwestern just got a little better! Notre Dame was recently in the national championship talk.

Doesn't hurt the NIU SOS for once... Northwestern looked like dog crap vs. Michigan and then played well today vs. ND. ND always does this garbage like against Pitt and Purdue the past two seasons. I still wouldn't say the win vs. NW is amazing, but it's better than CMU's vs. Purdue and better than our loss in Ames.
