Not having any OOC games scheduled after 2016 does seem odd in a world where other schools are announcing 2024 era games.

It's odd that the coach's contract runs out in 2016 and they don't have games scheduled beyond that.

2017 UAB Blazers Football Schedule
Rice, Marshall, UNT, all have three games scheduled for 2017. LaTech, ODU each have two. To be fair, all of those teams also show "**TENTATIVE**".

Our boosters, with the City of Birmingham, approached the administration with plans to build an indoor practice facility. The President and athletic director were not receptive to the idea and would not commit to the future of the program. So, here we are.

The Navy series was canceled when they joined the AAC.

Since their last bowl season a decade ago they have averaged 3.4 wins per season. Most UAB alums in the state are Alabama or Auburn fans.
