Im going to say that i will not be there at the game but i want to be. Unfortunate a new little one and being in Nashville is keeping me. But i had an idea that i wanted to see if it might be a good one.

ASN is broadcasting the game. Do you think it would be a good idea to use social media to tweet or contact the broadcasters about our dilemma?

Does anyone know if Watts attends our games? if he does do you think we should have a chant or signs made up?

Just a thought.

I hope that "Thank you Dr. Watts for hiring Bill Clark" sign makes a return on Saturday. Wonder if that was foreshadowing when it was broken out at homecoming?

We did a lot of that kind of thing during the OCS fight. Small numbers make that look pathetic. Remember also that at this point there are no real facts to point to. It's about shining a light, writing letters, contacting business leaders and city and county government.

The cold fact is that talking about a threat to close the program is going to damage recruiting. You can bet that other schools are gleefully running to work over our recruits and committments saying "There won't even BE a UAB program in a year or two." We don't need to add to the damage.

Write them anyway. Maybe Mackin is like Darth Vader and at the last minute he will throw the emperor down the shaft to save us. Mackin should have been keeping dirt on these guys for years. If so, now is the time for him to bring it out. If he doesn't, then he has betrayed us.

I hope for all that's right he will get tired of taking whatever they dish out.We deserve a chance but can,will,our leaders bow or stand up.

If they accomplish what it appears they want to, there would be no need for his job to maintain the status it has now. So he's as good as gone either way. Might as well go down fighting.

Only Gameday idea I can think of is show up early, stay late, wear green, bring people, and cheer on our boys. Everything else we'll take care off through meetings, emails, funds , and public awareness.

Great. So the biggest game of the season is coming up, and we manufacture our own distraction. Brilliant. You gloom and doomers need your own forum. The phycosis lounge. If we lose this next game, I'm going to blame each and every one of you. If recruiting suffers because of this, I'm going to blame each and every one of you. If coach leaves us for Troy, I'm going to blame each and every one of you. If this program goes back into the crapper, and the axe never drops. I'm going to blame each and every one of you.
