For NIU-Toledo. Biggest game of the year. To all you Rockets, I....ONCE AGAIN...say this:

Both teams looked bad this week but bring it on! As, I said a while back, Huskies will take out Toledo this year in ftball and basketball. It starts Tuesday and ends in March!

Basketball season starts Saturday. I don't know what you're talking about...football season ended yesterday. 04-cheers
You may beat us once in basketball... Maybe. But will be big dogs in both.

As of right now if NIU wins in football i blame it on our injuries, so catching Toledo like they are NOW is hardly something to brag about. If toledo still beats NIU in football, the Huskie fans like you will hear it from our board.
Supposed to release a statement today about Woodside, but it doesn't sound optimistic. If both our center and QB are out that changes the complexity of this game immensly. Julian has a week to get the deer in the headlights look off his face and salvage us a win in the biggest game of the year on natl TV. No pressure there. This is the stuff that becomes legend. A couple of years ago Kenny Guyton at O$U could have run for Ohio Governor and won after bailing out the Bucks in a few games. If Hunt was healthy I would run the wildcat with him and our WR who used to be a qb.

Check your schedule again. BG game is not this week. We play NIU.

Which game has a bigger determination on whether you win the MAC West? Sorry to say, it ain't BG at the moment. Lose to NIU, you'll need help to get to Detroit.

This is the same thing every year. They say BG is the biggest game of the year, then lose to NIU and don't get to Detroit. Let them have their fun.
Im in agreement. If we lose to NIU then the MAC WEST is up for grabs. We beat NIU and need to win one out of the remaining games.

the BG game means a lot but its not bringing us any hardware until December.

Let the players have that same mentality and watch your beloved Rockets lose to NIU once again and not go to Detroit.

BGSU might be your biggest rival historically, but when it comes to modern times, Toledo players and the fans should be concentrating on NIU just as much as NIU and their fans concentrate on you guys or else you just might continue coming up one game short.
You have to be a druggy if you don't believe Toledo is focused on NIU. Toledo basically clinches with a win in Dekalb. But for WMU, or Toledo.... it would/will be very hard to beat BG twice.

Wow, I just don't see how my and my Rocket familiy's concentration on the BG game will impact the NIU game. What do they teach you guys there? Voodoo?

Awwww, that's adorable. Thanks, G-string!
Attention NIU fans, you just don't get it. The NIU game is the most important game for Toledo. They will be focused just fine on you. Just like the Akron game was the most important game for Bowling Green and they were focused. That in no way makes Akron the biggest rival for Bowling Green! It just so happens that since you guys have won your division quite a bit lately that this game has become so important for Toledo.

Rivalries are made over time...and over a LOT of time. They aren't made over a short cyclical period that is common in all sports.

Didn't say we were rivals. I said it was the biggest game of the season for the Rockets, which it is.

UNTIL we play BGSUcks...

The BSU and CMU games were the biggest games of the season also. Wouldn't be 5-0 if we didn't start off 1-0 and 2-0 against formidable opponents.
NIU did not impress me vs. BSU. They have a bear of a running back who is tough to bring down, but BSU has one of the smallest DL's in the MAC, and have some backups at LB's who are vastly undersized also. I don't think the NIU game will be a high scoring affair. I think we win this game by a score or two with Mancz and Woodside. Sadly that's not the case, and we will probably be behind the 8 ball all night. I hope Maddie plays for them a few, because he looked like a DIII guy.

Maddie will almost certainly get a series or 2, that seems to be the coach's M.O. We scored some points earlier in the year with him playing QB, I don't think it will help Toledo much if they have a #3 QB playing as well.
U of Toledo fan, NIU will win the MAC West in ftball and basketball. In basketball, NIU is so much better on defense than Toledo. They also will be one of the top offensive teams, in the MAC. Let the beat downs of Toledo begin!
