I mean, can this day get any better.

Quote:Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will seek to lead the Democrats in the next Congress as they hand over the majority to Republicans.

Adam Jentleson, a spokesman for Reid, said Wednesday that the five-term Nevada Democrat plans to remain leader and other Democrats indicated that he is unlikely to face a challenge.

Democrats suffered a drubbing in Tuesday's elections, losing their majority as Republicans picked up seven seats. The GOP majority could grow with possible wins in Alaska and Louisiana.

More proof of how idiotic the democrats are.
Excellent.
Oh, goody. Keep him around as THE prime example of everything that is wrong with our federal government, AND even better, a leftist punching bag.

I hope he gets the committee assignment to study the bean soup content in runny dog schit. Be fitting.

I'm sure there are Dems that McConnell and the GOP would be willing to reach across the aisle to work with. What purpose does keep Reid serve?

I'm surprised Manchin hasn't been considered (or even run) for the position. You'd think he'd be the OBVIOUS choice if they want some collaboration between parties.
IMO the dims keeping Reid and Pelosi in leadership positions is the best thing that can happen for the GOP, especially Reid.
The democrats would be nuts to let Reid continue to speak for them. He's a senile embarrassment.

... said with a Mr Burns voice. Basically the vibe from the Republican Party American loves. Not that they love the Democrats by any means.

In today's day and age, you gotta be far on one side, or far on the other. Otherwise, you won't get ratings.
Baffling decision.
Pretty stupid move for the democrats. Reid is about to put the finishing move on the democratic base.
In giving it a little more thought...It's probably a wise decision. It's a no-win situation and the dems probably didn't want to ruin another senator's cred...if he/she ever had any.

Well Reid and Pelosi are the worst ones. Reid has called Republicans terrorists and insulted their entire base for a long time. Blamed numerous mistakes on them, etc. It's obvious, in my opinion, that he'll try to stop anything Congress does.
He's going to make the democratic base look really bad.

He doesn't

Did you know his pact raised more money than anyone else in the cycle? And he just wasted untold millions on attack ads on the Kock brothers while the Dems in his state were wiped out. He seriously hurt his own party with his ignorant nonsense.

The dems never hold anyone accountable for anything. This is a perfect example.

Well...gee whiz...now maybe you'll see what the dems went through with McConnell. Or probably not...you guys have pretty dark glasses on.

I'd make it 100% clear then. He stays? His "rules" stay. Whether they are broken rules or not. Additionally he will get exactly zerO committee assignments and not a penny will go to any bill or project he tries to introduce or be a party of. He's deserving of nothing less after the last 6+ years of his bullschit, stonewalling absolutely everything.

Assshole.
