Only ONE Virginia barbecue joint was named on USA TODAY's list of 10 best in the South. Do you agree with the choice?

I don't understand how Pierce's gets any hype. They kinda suck compared to other local joints, in my opinion.

I think the appeal of Piecrces is its history (1970'ish) and location (good and visible to travelers for many years now). It is also has a unique flavor.

Put me down for one who is not all that impressed with Pierce's BBQ. Jack's BBQ in Nashville is so much better. Almost worth that trip to Vanderbilt.
