Where’s an inebriated fan looking for a brawl when you need one?

Quote:University of Minnesota (U of M) students heckled Washington Redskins fans in front of TCF Bank Stadium before the game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

U of M students from the American Indian Student Cultural Center (AISCC) held signs that said “American Genocide Reconciled Thru Football” and “Culture Not Costume.” They wore shirts that changed the name “Redskins” to “replace” and “rethink.”

Thousands of protesters harassed fans who were wearing Redskins’ jerseys, calling them “bigots,” as they walked by and giving them the middle finger. While some fans would defend themselves, most ignored the name calling and kept on walking.

Hey American indians, the people from India want you to stop using their name.
They're probably doing it for extra credit in their " How to be a Socialist" class.
Who cares?
Apparently they do.
The Redskins are worth $2.4 billion. Having them use Redskins as a team name is not an insult.
Quote:There were 62 high schools in 22 states using the Redskins moniker last year, according to a project published by the University of Maryland’s Capital News Service. In addition to Red Mesa, two others are majority Native American: Wellpinit High School in Washington state and Kingston High School in Oklahoma.

and yet, they're rooting for the VIKINGS... I mean can you taste the irony in that? White Norsemen fans raising hell about a team representing the American Indian.
Still beats dealing with Eagles fans in Philly.
I bet you half of these clowns either didn't know the Redskins existed or never thought the name was offensive until their PC overlords told them too about five years ago.

^^^This.
Not sure what they're trying to do here, but as a die hard Saints fan, these douchebarrels make me want to go buy Redskins gear and wear it, just to show my support for the name.
Once the Redskins are forced to change their names (this will happen sooner rather than later), I imagine the crusaders will move onto changing Indiana (Land of Indians) and Oklahoma (red people).

Good idea. Going to look for a Redskin hat online.

It's crap like this that make people revolt.
While I promote the idea of wearing SKins gear, I highly advise against actually having a rooting interest in the team. I've been a fan my entire life and it's nothing but pain and misery.

Y'all sure were celebrating last week against the cowboys. I have many relatives that are throwing it in my face because I root for the 'boys. It's okay, it's only a game.
Question, do a majority of Native Americans think the term is racist?
