Noticed that last week when reviewing AAC schools and what teams they offer. Am sure Title IX has to have something to do with it. Can't tell me in a city that size they do not have a facility they can use.

I agree. We've always heard SMU has like a bazillion dollars in reserve so the no money angle is hard to believe.
I don't believe the no money excuse one bit.
When my daughter visited SMU, they were just completing a one billion dollar campaign....ahead of schedule. And they offered my child a full $30,000 scholarship. They are loaded.
They should have one or be forced from the AAC.

We're a baseball school now.
IX
CU Boulder doesn't have a team either and they joined the PAC12. Arguably one of top baseball conf around. CSU also doesn't have a team. If it wasn't for the Rockies I don't think many people in the state would watch a baseball game. Football country. And if the Broncos have a down year everyone is completely miserable.
We don't have any excess land for a field and the closest park we can use is 10 miles away from campus is a dump. Talk of adding lacrosse and bringing back men's track is happening.

Beat Tulsa
I believe it is because of Title IX. They don't have a softball team.

What is the facility that is being built across the street from the football stadium? Used to park there when it was a vacant lot.
That's the new tennis facility. The old tennis facility is where the new basketball practice facility and, I believe, the new parking garage is.

The new tennis facility, I think, is also to be the site where they proposed an IPF to June, only he said he didn't want it across the street.
