Think it might be rectal but can't tell. Also, this one is glass - any bad experiences with glass rectal thermometers?
The metal part of an "old school" glass rectal thermometer will be short & rounded. An oral thermometer will look more cylindrical at the metal part.
Is this a trick question?

Edit: Just don't jump on a trampoline and take your temp at the same time,
no matter if the thermometer is glass, plastic or fiber optics.

One takes the temp going in and the other takes the temp going out. Try using both at the same time to see if they are in sync.
Just when I thought I'd seen it all on this board.
I need a break
