haha, I love how EMU cooks the books, they do it as well as anyone, divide that by 2
Correction divide it by like 15,000. One side might have had 100 people. The other side I couldn't see the fans.
I guess this was their annual Pepsi game where they mysteriously sell a bunch of tickets but no one actually shows up. The reported attendance is nearly double their second highest thus season. I watched the entire game and it was empty. What a joke.
that is absolutely insane...

Shameless.
I was at our games at EMU in '06, '08, '10 and '12. There were maybe 5000 in '06, 3000 in '08, 2000 in '10 and less than 1000 in '12.
No more than 1500, seemed like more on EMU side than usual. Fewer on NIU side

Maybe 654
That really is blatantly shameless.
Wait.. WMU's crowd was 20,225 -- not even 1k more than EMU's. Here's a pic of OUR game:

Yeah, they're about the same, right? Oh maybe EMU's fans are so dedicated that they blend into the stands, just as their players are nearly invisible with their jerseys matching the gray field? :)

one thing for sure.....it's alway grey and overcast in Ipsilanti
Grey.

Grey hair...Grey clouds......Grey=Depressing

Whovever thought this was a good idea will be fired if they haven't been already.
The broadcast looked like I was watching on a 1950s black and white tv.
EMU fans don't even show up - at our home games, NIU fans show up, if the students don't like what is going on they leave at half time and go home to the weekly weenie roast with mommy and daddy in the suburbs - West siders routinely criticized for being too 'quiet' hang on until the baby starts to cry, or the three year old decides this probably isn't "a good place to bring me", raises a fit, and they head for the doors as well. Either way, MAC fans have a long way to go before any body (teams) is going anywhere in the 'big leagues'. Once again........NIU is exactly where they belong.......live with it and love it or get to the weenie roast early. It is what it is!

Looked like they were playing on a parking lot
So if we are exactly where we belong let's pull together with our sister schools and make the conference stronger. Can we pool some resources and work on attendance as a conference. Attendance and lack of fan support is the biggest thing holding us back. We have very good athletes and send players to the pros every season from many of our programs. NIU is better positioned than most MAC schools with all of our alums in the Chicago area.

I will never understand with all of our recent success why it is not damn difficult to get a ticket to get into Huskie Stadium. Perhaps Frazier's success at upgrading our schedule will help.

First step at making MAC football stronger would be eliminating EMU and their 20,000 ghost fans. Lost cause in Ypsilanti.
