Is it bad that, when driving home today and the ESPN Radio Sports Center lead story started, "Old Dominion Football announces Freshman Ray Lawry from NJ...", my first thought was , "Holy crap! What did he do?" Fortunately, it finished with, "... will get his first start at Tailback..." Then, I was able to breathe again.

Not sure why............... but I often find myself with a gut reaction.......that is similar?
You're probably just used to getting your good news from odubleedblue, that's all.
My incredibly paranoid and totally crazy thought is that he becomes really good and decides to transfer to a Power Conference school.
Eh, he had an offer from an ACC school and some interest from other P5 schools.
He's getting starts and big yardage as a freshman here. I don't think he'd dump a year and transfer just to have to earn his spot all over again.

I'm a pretty high strung guy myself, but this just doesn't make sense. Shouldn't worry about that.
I was waiting for the suspension or injury to follow. I was nearly in full blown panic mode by the time they came out with it.
you know what is bad?? our tackling. but we cannot complain about that anymore
