Response to what???
Im no lawyer but isn't that sexual harassment when you kiss someone w/o their permission. Plus he was callin out to another gal during the interview. Kind of a sleazy bar move he should save for the winking lizard, IMO.03-puke

It seems to work for Joe Namath, LOL!
I don't know if I would go with "bar move" but then I don't know who "Tina" is or his intent of bringing that name into it. A little on air cordiality and jocularity between professional athletes and reporters is no crime but IMO, he crossed a boundary between respecting ones assignment and diminishing it. Perhaps I'm just not familiar with the dynamic expected in the NBA between players and reporters. Age bias might play into my perception. I can see a Charles Barkley for example, giving Marv Albert a smooch on the head but not a twenty something just starting out Marv Albert.
Yes it did I guess...

My thoughts Eastisbest...just seemed like out of line and something Allie shouldn't need to worry about.
A blog article or two recognizing the inappropriateness but nothing from the major outlets says a lot about attitudes. Sporting News made brief comment.

Best approach from Clifton IMO, let it take the natural course that I think (hope) it will take, put it to adjusting attitudes and relationships with the hope that sooner rather than later, the proper messages will be carried. I think this will build steam but not likely any in the major outlets will recognize their oversight.

Righteous indignation, earned that it is, will produce nothing positive and would be less likely to show her professional strength. I hope she's up to the decisions that are going to come her way. From her initial response, I would say she is as well as anyone is.
Okay, so.... it might actually be Allie Clifton that needs to explain. This is part of a long running joke maybe?

Listen for "Tina."
I don't think that it was that big of a deal. He was just trying to be "cute" on camera but only ended up embarrassing himself IMO. Hopefully, he learned something from the experience. I agree that Allie handled the situation very well and came out of it looking like a pro.

From the video I posted, I would think maybe she has a thing or two she can learn. The "Tina" he was referring to I believe was the other sideline reporter Clifton brought into the picture in the earlier game. He didn't really embarrass himself, or at least, IMO she should make that clear. He was following up on a joke that she started.
Man, some of you are making a mountain out of a mole hill. It was a joke. Move on.

+1
Wrong guys, you don't kiss someone without consent. You just don't.

And you know it was without consent how? This definitely seems like a long running inside joke. And it would be one thing if he kissed her on the lips; it doesn't even look like he kissed her on the cheek - it looks like he kissed her hair!

Again, making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Yes and no I'd say.

Taking it as a long running joke, his actions were so out of context that the viewers would not understand it was a joke and the guy is in fact, getting raked over the coals. She could mitigate this by making a statement that it is understood as a result of a prank that she played on him.

On the other hand, jokes can be taken too far. Kissing lips, hands, hair whatever, was a bad choice and didn't seem to have anything to do with anything. How that became part of the "joke" is totally unclear and gives impression that she is not respected as a professional. She's not a play-friend. She's a journalist doing a job.

So, in context, it could be considered a joke. The context isn't there. I searched hours trying to make sense of it and once I found the source, Tina," I still haven't found that information repeated in follow-up articles.
