Anybody by chance sitting on some extras they'd like to part with at a discount? Looking for 2.

Taking the 2 yr old up to jonamac sat afternoon and then possibly hitting up the game. With the kid and the weather , not sure if we can make it 4 quarters so I can't justify $40+ On tickets for the Hare/Hendrix concert.

I hope somebody from athletics is reading this....

On a related note, big group that went to homecoming including former players headed for Fatty's when they found out they were gonna be out $25/ticket to go to the game.

I hope IMG pounds some sense into Frazier, this ain't bama or Wisconsin. It's Chicago(ish) and there are a million other moderately priced events to compete with.

I don't see that lowering the ticket prices will increase REVENUE. you have die hards that go. you have students(they get in free). Unless they get bleacher end zone seats and charge $10 ofr them, not gonna do a lot.

Way to support your team. Unbelievable.
Would some of you pay anything to go to an NIU game? I think a fair price for general seats outside of the seatback section and in row 40+ on the west side is about $20. We're not a major program. I'd rather see cheap seats and a full stadium than expensive seats and 10k "die hards".
I've got two bench backs for west side if you want them. Drop me a text.

OMG $25 for a college game. Lets see its $12 to see a crappy movie. If someone can't pay $25 fot a Huskie game then don't go. I bet this was the only game this year these players were going to. Why would anyone suggest we try to get into the Big 12 when $25 is too much. You know how to get a lower price, buy season tickets

if I had some tickets to sell to you, why would i sell them to you at a discount. I did not buy them at a discount. What do you think Huskie Football is the CYO league.

Group tickets are super cheap but I doubt many people know about them.

Also I PMd you on the 2 tickets.
I need 3 or 4 if anyone's got them. If not I'll just buy them there.

B/c like me in many years that I had season tickets I can't always go and was more than happy to throw somebody tix to get butts in the seats.

This response makes me want to punch one of our veteran posters right square b/w the eyes. Go fly a kite, ****head response.

No I don't think Huskie football is the CYO, but I also understand how freakin markets work. When we consistently sell 50-80% of an allotment of something it means the price is too high. It's only too high b/c we have enough loyal fans willing to overpay. For years I've gladly been in that category. Single income house, number 2 on the way, normal expenses...I can't justify $50 when I know we won't make it to the end of the game. But pat on the back that you can, I'll buy you a ribbon.

And for the record, 2 great huskie fans/friends already responded b/c they have extras and can't make it ...so now a couple extra fans in the seats (we'll need em) and they recoup some of their dough....win/win

Sorry I asked...

Because the game is tomorrow and you might be stuck eating the entire cost if you don't sell them?

I realize that those who inhabit a message board are diehards but I'm constantly shocked that this baffles people.

In that category of not understanding it until I realized that like the rest of you, I'm in the minority of degree of fandom. Is what it is...and will always be that way, ex players, alum, casual fans.

My point in saying that is this group goes in if ticket prices were lower. At $50/couple...the rationale is let's go grab beers, watch it on tv and reminisce with old buddies. You don't have to get the mentality but it does speak to ticket pricing dynamics.

Precisely why your post was ignorant, GCD. Have a great time tellinge to sit down when I stand to cheer for our D on 3rd down tomorrow.

I'll echo that. For my early years out of college it was far wiser for my buddies and I to spend the same amount at Fatty's, watch the game AND drink and save our cash for a MACC or bowl game.

I think a smart move would be to offer a lower priced section on the East Side (or North section of the West) to get more butts in seats. In the long run this will help establish a more consistent fan presence as incomes increase and priorities adjust.

I get where you're coming from on this. What I can't understand is the ex-players bailing because of the ticket price.

BTW, glad to hear you stand and cheer on the West Side. If people don't like it, f**k em! Need more fans like you! 04-bow
Anger on this board. Settle down, people.
