Not good- supposed to rain for next couple of days...
Well, there's always packing up and moving practices to Legion Field. What is the latest info on our own all weather practice field?
I don't believe it will happen until after the season at the earliest.

Maybe by holding off on it for a few months we may be able to put something better in that location instead.
I've never been in the Wallace Gym. Are they able to hold a full football practice there?

Yeah. I'm sure. As much as you can hold football practice in the space of two basketball courts.
Yeah they definitely need to remedy that. An indoor football practice facility is a for sure need.

What is the timetable on the new practice fields or an indoor facility? Since an on-campus stadium is no longer a possibility, the focus is probably on major upgrades to existing football infrastructure. I would imagine HCBC desperately needs these improvements to keep up with the rest of the conference.
I thought that stuff was part of the deal when he came to UAB. I haven't seen any news since then though.
Probably a wait till the end of season additition, phases.
First phase was the locker rooms and maybe they had enough to fence in the practice field.
Next phase the turf.
Next step will be an IPF. The turf will go in there.
I would guess that an IPF would be a great recruiting tool and could be completed by the start of fall practice if the funds are available and timing is right.

Is this a done deal? Any renderings or announcements?
The deals aren't done until construction is finished.

If it can be built entirely from privately donated funds, it can be done quickly. If UAB must build it from its own pocket, it will take years longer. Any combination of the two kinds of funds will be the determinant of the timing - the more private - faster; the more UAB - slower.
No done deals. UAB has already been burned badly there. That said I hear that there is discussion and maybe even schematics on an IPF. Lets see what happens. Yes I hear if it happens it would be privately funded.
Can the football department/ athletic department not do some type of campaign drive or fund raiser? I know fund raiser sounds bush league, but I'm sure you get the point.
Yes.

Workin' at the car wash, yeah...

High school bands must do this. College football programs should not have to.
The O-line in bathing suits washing our cars.

I would pay not to see that.
