The winner of Tuesday night game will win the conference. After state we have two very tough games because of rivalries USA and ULM. Just tired of Southern thinking they are world beaters anyone can count OC games but ask ULM they always do well but how many conference championships they won. Oh and you can say we look like crap but we like you are still undefeated in conference.

Who said that?

Dude we are undefeated in conference play with a tougher schedule than you. Southern is fast to accept the fact that they don't have to play two of the top teams in the conference but grip about not being able to go bowling. Name one of the teams we lost to that you could have beaten. If we played you we'd crush you our team is built to stop the run your team can't pass the ball oh and you didn't look good against a week Idaho team. Just be glad you have a two year break. The sad thing is when you are eligible to go bowling you have to play UL and A-State damn the bad luck. You know you could go 10-2 and we go 6-6 and we'd go bowling and you'll be sitting at home.

Texas state is not pretty good! With a SOS of 128 With very ugly wins I don't see Texas state as a contender. I also believe ULm and USA motive ahead of them in rankings
1. stAte
2. GaSouth
3.UL
4 ULm
5 USA
6 Texas state
7 Georgia state
8. Troy
9 NMSU
10 App st
11 Idaho

Winner of next Tuesday match will be number 1

Well I'm sure stAte and ULL have the athletes to slow down southern. The script would be flipped inn a lot of ways and it would be your defense struggling to get off the field quick enough. I agree in2 years you will be better.. So will __________

I don't doubt they have the athletes to slow us down. Doesn't mean they would absolutely win.

It isn't the same type of getting better comparison though. Going by what most people on here said, we don't have good depth right now and we don't have FBS talent. So in 2 years we will have more depth and more talent, whereas you guys will have more of the same. So technically, we should improve by leaps and bounds over the next 2-3 years.

I'm just going by what you guys told us.

I feel certain Southern could beat LaTech, most of their wins seem unimpressive, except the pistol-whipping they put on ULaLa. Besides that game, they only beat UTEP and perennial cellar-sweller North Texas. Hell, Boise's resume doesn't even look that impressive with wins over Colorado St, UConn (barf), and Nevada.

You did get one thing right though. I highlighted it above.

Otherwise...

Troy came in and dominated early in the conference also. However, you no longer get the bcs transfers with instant eligibility. You no longer can sell winning and competing for national titles. In one group you are recruiting to the top, now you are recruiting to the bottom. Trust me it's different, we have had coaches on our staff that came from very successful fcs programs like GS and they have said it's harder to sell a lower tier fbs than higher fcs. The talent level isn't all that different, usually it's grades that separates most not talent. There will be challenges and at some point they will catch up to GS, there will be a transition.

True... but we are now talking to kids that wouldn't even take a look at us while we were FCS. Kid's now see us as Division 1.

Also.. how did Southern and App get the top 2 recruting class in the Country last year? Curious

Luckily, we don't have to worry about the bcs transfer thing, seeing as how we rarely went that route, and when we did, it never worked out.

And yes, I will agree to the second point to some extent, but with that said, with Ark state and ULL supposedly having such better athletes, do you think those guys would have gone to GS over ULL or Ark State?

We don't have a single P5 transfer on our team to my knowledge. The only FBS transfer I know of is our backup QB who left FIU when Mario Cristobal was fired. Historically the FBS transfers that make impacts on our team are few and far in-between and most come from elite programs.

Interesting that you tell us our recruiting will take a hit. The thing we heard here is that we will need a few classes of "FBS recruits" before we can compete here.
