This is uncharacteristic...and epically dumb.
I have sent in a question to the coaches show to ask WTF and will any players be disciplined for that. I hope whoever was doing it gets suspended for the rest of the season.
I have no tolerance for that.

Did you read the article? He clearly mentions the two penalties and that both sides were talking smack.

Our players don't talk smack on the field. They barely even celebrate, except on the sidelines, and after the game. I like it.
Yeah, I don't see a lot of chest-thumping. Used to drive me nuts seeing a guy thumping his chest after a big hit he laid on a receiver after giving up a 12 yard catch on 3rd and 8.
If a back up db talking on Twitter gets you that riled up I imagine you'll see more of it.

It didn't get me riled up. I could care less. It does reflect poorly on your university; however, the taunting penalties do the same for Marshall. In the scheme of things, just stupid all around.

Not you but your team. If it is that easy to get a couple 15 yarders then I imagine more teams will try it. Now granted I have yet to see what was actually said but what I have seen mentioned here certainly didn't embarrass the university. A little brash maybe but a far cry from embarrassing. It's teenagers. If they can't be brash who can be? Now if it had been coaches I would be embarrassed but it wasn't. .
It made both team's players look undisciplined. Maybe "university" is too strong, but it doesn't make team discipline look great for either side. Yes, they are young adults on scholarship representing their respective schools. As there is an article on the situation, it is obvious your athletes are ambassadors. Coaches should be reigning in this type of behavior. It doesn't do either side any favors. These comments and actions always come back to bite you. Win or lose you look like an ass.
I was responding to the "riled up" comment. Personally, this is only upsetting because of the taunting penalties from Marshall. Our games are making a statement by themselves. These antics take away from that in my opinion.

I'd even say it was different it were an upperclassmen and/or team leader. I'm sure most coaches and administrators wish they could just ban all players from social media, but that's just not realistic.
#42 for MT came out of the locker room flipping the bird to MU and the fans. Thankfully an MT coach and ref. saw him and tore him a new one. The kid got blown up by Devin Johnson on a touchdown run and got beat on several passes. Karma is a *****! Lol!
