Hard to argue against that one. Pretty brave for a 17 year old to do what she's doing/done.

The Nobel Peace Prize for 2014

The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2014 is to be awarded to Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzay for their struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education.

Despite her youth, Malala Yousafzay has already fought for several years for the right of girls to education, and has shown by example that children and young people, too, can contribute to improving their own situations. This she has done under the most dangerous circumstances. Through her heroic struggle she has become a leading spokesperson for girls’ rights to education.
At least she has actually done something and put her life at risk in pursuit of her goals. While I applaud the decision, part of me think the choice is an attempt to regain some credibility for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Yeah, there's been some obvious screw ups when it comes to the Peace Prize in the past with Arafat and Obama, but she deserves the prize and the money. Very brave young woman.

Now if we only had someone in this country would stand up to Christian extremism and the right's war on women. Is this inappropriate for this Spin room board?
The Nobel committee finally gets one right.

The right's war on women? Hahahaha ...

Just because I don't want to pay for someone to have an abortion? Or pay for their birth control so they can f--- their brains out?

Birth control is not "women's health care". Health care is to heal an injury or disease, not routine contraception.

you don't have to.

you do however have to pay taxes to live in this nation, and how the money is spent is up to the people WE elect.

abortion is a right, so says the SCOTUS. (see Roe v. Wade)

Insurance is to meant to cover unexpected situations that arise, such as injuries or disease. It is not meant to cover preventative, predictable expenses like birth control pills (that cure no medical condition).

So is the right to bear arms, but I have no expectation for the government to provide them to me, free of charge.
