ULM @ Kentucky 45-14: Kentucky is a pretty good team this year, and it won't be an easy game for ULM.
StAte @ Georgia State 38-24: Georgia State is able to put up some points, and had an amazing showing against ULL last week. I still think stAte will be able to manage them, and pull away in the 4th.
NMSU @ Troy 35-28: Troy is well overdue for a win, and they played ULM close two weeks ago. Both have pretty bad defenses, and tend to allow many yards.
Liberty @ App State 45-21: Everyone's favorite FCS program will face App, and come with something to prove to the Sunbelt. App will win at home, but Liberty will put up a good fight.
Idaho @ Georgia Southern 41-28: Georgia Southern hosts Idaho for their homecoming game. The eagles will win, but Idaho will put up some points on our poor pass defense.
ULM @ Kentucky (-10) I hate it for Monroe, just a tough schedule. Im hoping for an upset.

StAte @ Georgia State (-1) I think GSU is on the edge of breaking through. I think they do it at home to set the bar to get more butts in the seats.

NMSU @ Troy (-10) If NMSU comes out like they did against GASO Troy wont be able to catch up.

Liberty @ App State (-14) Come on Mountaineers!! Put the last two weekends behind you and play to your potential.

Idaho @ Georgia Southern (-14) Its homecoming, Southern learned a lesson from NMSU.....we come out firing at all cylinders.
ULM @ Kentucky Monroe will definitely make it closer than Kentucky would like.

StAte @ Georgia State I actually think this will be an incredibly close nail-biter until StAte wakes up late in the 4th. I am absolutely terrified of the GS/GSU game after seeing GSU's offense and our pass defense.

NMSU @ Troy The NMSU team I saw last Saturday is a force to be taken seriously.

Liberty @ App State As much as I love it when App loses, App State, please don't lose this one.

Idaho @ Georgia Southern After last Saturday, I'm hoping we can get back on fire with a nice homecoming game. I'm hoping that the home field advantage alone will be enough to win. Hope you're bringing band-aids to the Boro, Vandals. 05-stirthepot

Should be a true test for our defense going up against a pass offense. We shut down both Utah State and ULM, but both played to our preferences. I am not sure Georgia State will do that.

We've struggled notoriously in road games in which few fans are in attendance. I call it the FIU curse.

That loss last year to you guys was heartbreaking. I have much repect for the Wolves and you guys it's fans. But I hope it's nothing but the back of blue jerseys headed into the endzone against you guys. Ive been looking forward to this game since last years. Good luck to you guys.

Has Nick Arbuckle become acquainted with the turf at the Georgia Dome yet? Because the two are about to become close friends.

Seriously, should be a fun game. We're still at the point that this is a game that we should and need to win, but also at the point that none of us are going to dare overlook you guys after last year.

I'm not as certain only because you guys scared the crap out of us last year. I've always said our trap game this year is the Trip to Idaho that we have between the ULL Road game and the USA home game.

I keep debating whether I need to direct my car to Atlanta this weekend and reacquaint myself with a city I haven't visited in 16 years.

It could be. Maybe just wishful thinking on my part.

I don't agree with that statement at all. Georgia State is a rapidly improving team and won't be down forever. Last year they could hardly put together two consecutive quarters of quality ball. This year it's the 4th quarter that's consistently killed them. I haven't seen many Belt teams (or any other conference's teams for that matter) that seem to play good defense so take that out of the equation. Their offense looks like the real deal to me.

I doubt they have much of a home field advantage due to low attendance, but I'm sure glad the Cajuns didn't have to play them in Atlanta this year.

I agree with this plus I will add that it is hard for me to root for any conference team to beat another. When it comes to in the conference I hope we all play our best with the exception of when you're playing GS!

That's because you haven't played any of the league's better defenses yet.

+1, I'll admit our defense is still my biggest concern, BUT we've only allowed 20 ppg so far this season, which is pretty good IMO.

(It could also be argued that we haven't faced any good offenses though)
ULM over Kentucky by 3 (yea I think Kentucky is ripe for the upset)

stAte over GSU by 10

NMSU over Troy by 10

Well, in my humble opinion, even this league's best defenses (and most every other conference's as well) are still a joke compared to what college football once was. How often do you see a 7-0, 14-7, 6-3 type game these days? No, more often than not it's 48-28 and man, that sure was a solid defense we played to hold them to only 28 points and 300 yards of offense.

Maybe I'm just old-fashioned and out of step but I'd sure like to see teams stop someone on third and long for a change.

If you used those standards, no one in America has a good defense. All the new rules have made football an offensive game.
