I'm a UAB football fan, and I support the team through thick and thin. I don't define my self worth, or the worth of the football team, by whether or not it wins 10 games a year. I decided years ago that, from W/L standpoint, I would set preseason goals pretty low…just win one more game than last year, thats all I ask…win one more game than last year and I'll be happy.

Setting the bar so low, you'd think that would be an easy goal to hit…at least once very couple years or so. But since I started following the team 20 years ago, this is only the 6th time we've hit that low bar…and this is by far the earliest we've done it

in 1999 it took 9 games
2000 it took 8 games
2004 it took 9 games
2008 it took 10 games
2009 it took 10 games
2014 it took 5 games

Perhaps I'll dare to dream for bowl eligibility for the rest of the season
Wow. That really puts how pathetic this program has been in perspective.
Calm yourself, sir. 03-lol
Lowered Expectations With Watson Brown.
5 games into his UAB career, and Coach Clark is 2 wins away from McGee's 2-year win total.
Perspective from a WKU fan:

"Btw, when I watched the UAB sidelines, they were emotional and seemed to simply want to win more. Our sideline looked lifeless the whole time. Their coaches were leading the charge. Our "experienced" staff were busy taking their Geratol."

Sounds exactly like UAB when Callaway was on our sideline.

I thought the same thing. However, I do think Brohm is a good coach, and I think Callaway is an excellent OL coach.
