the nuggets and knicks were involved in a serious brawl
players ejected..
Carmelo Anthony
Andre Miller
J.R. Smith
Edwaro Najera
Marcus Camby
Nate Robinson
Jared Jefferies
Channing Frye
Mardy Collins
and David Lee
You would have to figure there is going to be some serious money lost out of that deal. Don
Since fighting is so accepted in the NHL maybe commissioner Stern will put up plexiglass walls around the court. It might actually keep a few fans interested.
After viewing the replays, I thought the Knicks acted like a bunch of punks after the ghoul-like foul pulled on JR Smith. Then pint sized PG Nate Robinson starts running his mouth and calling everyone out. The little fella got his azz whupped. Carmelo Anthony went ballistic started throwing some serious windmill type punches, he'll get a 3 week vacation.
IMO, the blame goes to the Knicks.

By some accounts, this was premeditated by the Thomas due to being embarrassed on the court and the Nuggets starters still being in the game. Problem is, the only team embarrassing the Knicks were themselves...they suck!

Carmelo threw a cheap shot, but he better not receive anymore punishment than that Robinson, who was responsible for it going to another level. In fact, Thomas should get the most punishment if he instructed this to happen as it sounds...
Gee, I'm shocked Najera had anything to with it. . .
Isaih is the biggest punk. He's destroyed that franchise. Hopefully this will give him the boot. He's built his team around aging stars with huge contracts who can't play.

Pretty tame brawl if you ask me. Looked like more 5 or 6 quick isolated
punches. Most guys were actually working to stop the fights. Even
Carmelo was pretty calm for most of the time until just at the end when
he lost it and threw one punch.

Carmelo looked like a huge *****, if you ask me. Whats up with him cheap shotting the dude and then running away???

That franchise was destroyed before Isaih got there. But he's done just as badly as his predecessors at running the club. Next year it will be someone else making horrible decisions for them. Their biggest problem is ownerships unwillingness to undergo a complete rebuilding.

He was fighting like a girl, I agree. They zoomed in and from what I saw it was a open hand slap he threw with his eyes closed. He really didnt want to stick his nose in there.
Who cares if they are all suspended?
Carmelo got 15 games.
Smith 10.
Robinson 10.

a few others got a few games each as well.

Could someone please explain to me how Thomas gets nothing when it seems clear to everyone that he basically called for it to occur?

15 games is crap BTW...
Am I the only one detects a hint of racism from media/fans ect. when it comes to brawls and fights in the NBA and NFL. Dont get me wrong, Im not one of these affirmative action Jesse Jacson types, but when MLB and NHL teams get in fights its almost encouraged. They just say they rough and tough. Ive even heard MLB brawls build team chemistry and NHL fights get the teams pumped up. Or how often have you heard Chris Welsh encourage pitchers to beam batters during the broadcast, as if its a part of the game. Then if there's a brawl in the NBA they are a bunch of ghetto thugs. Just the way I see it.

Jarr, I very seldom disagree or argue with you but on this subject, I think you are at least 179 degrees off base. You read way too much into this dumb sh!t. When they have a fight, 95 times out of a hundred, there are only black players on the court.

I am aware of that. I know most of the players on the court were black, thats my point. Most the players in the MLB and NHL in the brawls are white. Yet, when there are brawls and fights in those 2 sports most people just puch it off as no big deal, part of the game. In the NBA, they go on about them being thugs and it being a bad reflection of our society ect.
Thank god Kenyon was hurt...if he had been involved, Hugs would have been blamed for the whole thing...them Cincinnati thugs again.
Good thing 'Melo gets a 15 game suspension, and in Hockey they are encouraged to fight.. look, I knot it isn't sending the right message.. but how is fining both teams clubhouses 500K, going to actually stop people getting upset during games? These rulings are rediculous.. The knicks.. who are worse than terrible, were jsut rying to go back to the glory days of the gardens, and have a boxing match.. no harm in trying to breathe some life into that empty carcass they call the New York Knick fans is there? I for one, was hoping for a three round bout.. with gloves, and women in bikinis.. unfortunately I didnt get that wish..
