The weather should be Midwest October: Cool (50 degrees), windy, showers (?), etc.

Probably aren't going to be a ton of points, esp. from the visitors.

Akron has new helmets which I find awesome. (awesome stadium and awesome helmets and awesome defense).

In three games, Akron gave up zero points to Howard, 21 to PSU, and 10 to Pitt. One bad game vs. Marshall.

15.5 PPG to a B1G and ACC team is scary good. There are many MAC teams which would give up 15.5 points to Penn State and Pitt in the 1st quarter alone... (pls. don't ask how someone can score a half point in American Football. Lol).
If we want to stay in this game, we'll need a defensive performance like the one against ODU. It's possible, Akron's offense is not overly impressive. And frankly, I think Pohl isn't anything special. All that said, we'll see what happens out there...

I wouldn't be surprised to see a rested EMU team play well on defense.

Just so long as the offense doesn't have a ton of turnovers.

BTW, I agree on Pohl. BTW, I don't see one excellent QB in the MAC, maybe I'm wrong, but I think I've seen most of them play this year.
I think Terrell has, shockingly enough, come out with the strongest start. Haven't looked through QB stats in a few weeks though.

Terrell was 100% improved in the 2nd half of the Purdue game and has continued to improve in subsequent games.

He might be as good a QB as there is this year in the MAC (very weak group).

As I say about WMU: Soph QB who is getting it done; star WR, Corey Davis, a soph; WR Braverman, who has been very effective, also a soph; and FOY candidate, Franklin, the bull RB.

Some how WMU might be headed for a worst (2013) to first (2015 or 2016) saga.

That, of course, makes our saga more frustrating...
I like Pohl a lot. He's going to have a big day. Akron 38-7.
Debuting new helmets today. I like 'em.

We are bringing out some new helmets of our own...

Very cool helmets. At least we'll look good!
I hope we wear them next week. They'll be nice to see in person.
Ball State is down 17-7 to Army late in the 2nd. Army is 1-3 with a win over Buffalo. Not impressed with BSU this year.

Edwards is a stud, but Ozzie Mann is definitely not Keith Wenning. That's another potentially winnable game for us. The MAC, as whole, does not look as strong as in years past.
Agreed on both points, Sam. It's 17-10 now, and BSU could win, but that Army defense is bad.

Agree 100% about the MAC being weak.

I think it gets back to my point about mediocre MAC quarterbacking this year. There isn't a stud QB in the conference.
The only potential stud coming into this year was Johnson at BG, and he got hurt unfortunately. It's a shame the conference lost guys like Lynch, Wenning, Tettleton, and Owens in the same year.
Did I hear CC say that the OOC record doesn't really matter vis-à-vis the conference season.

But in the world of bowl games, doesn't an OOC win count the same as a conference win? (this is the opposite of college hoops where conference wins earn byes in the conference tourney).

And, of course, a P5 win is worth more than say a win over UMass (sorry UMass fans).
The espn guys say there are some nfl scouts here looking at Bronson Hill. Hopefully he has a big day. He's got the talent to play Sundays.
Did I hear Matt and Rob mention that it looks like snow? 45 and some impending snow showers...

The Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce... Lol.
Nice stop on defense. Looks good.
TD Tyler Allen! What a beautiful throw by Bolden.
