I mean the Christians had a better chance against the lions. At least the lions sooner or later got full and quite eating them...
Thomas didn't schedule this game, Bob Goin did.
Cut Goin some slack he has been negotiating this game for the last 10 years. lmfao
Typical - bash Thomas when you don't know what you're talking about.

I think Goin was the best AD in UC's history. But he should have NEVER allowed this game to happen. While he was trying to schedule OSU for a long time.........the elitists from Columbus only came calling AFTER Huggs was gone.

Goin agreed to this game during his lame-duck status.......and it was his single worst move of his career. Huggs would have buried those idiots for years and years...and the chicken sh*ts would never play us.

Good post. Goin was a great AD who made a TERRIBLE decision scheduling this game.
so if memphis beats them by 22 I guess it was a terrible decision to play them too

There is no comparison.

Memphis and UC have a home/home and have been playing each for the last 10 years.

Ohio State cheery picked this game when UC was down and they were up and Goin/Administration were stupid enough to sign off on it without getting a home/home.

No..what kind of backward ass comparison is that? Memphis has been a league foe who's played us through 3 leagues and wanted to continue a long standing rivalry. OSU REFUSED to play us...because they were scared their self-importance as THE university in the state would be shattered by getting their ass-kicked. Making the decision to allow them this satisfaction was idiotic.

The comparison is so stupid it almost doesn't warrant comment.
OK.it's over.......Now for some hindsight......I am an old fart that was there when we embarrased them in the 60's........When this game was scheduled I really thought ,what the heck is wrong with them.We agree to play them now? With this team and a new coach?I think every alumn from this era had to feel the same way..........Now I hear Matta does not want to schedule a series.......what a jerk. Our guys never gave up today. There will definately be a next time and I only hope our new AD will never embarrass this university like the previous one did, along with our president "Queen Nancy" continues to do..............This game never should have happened this year!!!!!!!!!
Zimpher is so dumb, I wouldn't let her ride the kiddie rides at Kings Island, let alone manage a major business or university.

We have no say in what she does.

Zimpher is an OSU grad. Big surprise she makes bad decisions. That school is a party school not a beacon of intellectual thought. You could make a similar argument about UC, but at least UC fans behave classily after sporting events, unlike the rioting Buckeye fans.
WE did not do anything. Zimpher did not schedule this. Thomas did not schedule this.

So they lost. Big freaking deal.

I actually thought UC played decent, they just could not hit the broadside of a barn today. OSU played tough defense, and let's face it , UC was outmanned.

Hopefully UC will get another shot at them in a couple of years.

That's what the big freakin deal is.......we will NEVER get another shot at them because IF we ever get better, the chicken-shi*ts will never play us again.

That's what the NCAA tournament is for.

It hasn't happened in the last 42 years- what makes you think it's going to happen anytime soon?

OK you are right. UC will always be remembered for having lost to OSU today and will never, ever play them again. So now and forever UC will always be # 2 in Ohio. UC might as well eliminate the program now.
Acting like we need to "get this back" and play OSU is admitting UC needs them. We're in the best conference ever. We have tradition. We're going to be very good again before very long. We don't need OSU.

This was one game. It's over. No series is coming. That's perfectly OK by me. A lot of "who you are" is defined by who you hang out with. I'd prefer that UC athletics not hang out with Ohio State.

It wasn't hard for OSU to play tough defense when most of the time the UC players were standing around, mixing up who was supposed to go where, or running the same pick-and-roll play over and over.

We need new coaches who know what they are doing. Matta would have Ron Allen playing like Kevin Garnett.

lmfao

lmfao

No, but i have to wonder if Matta would have had a short, guard oriented team playing half-court offense in the second half when it netted them a whole 14 points in the first half. Nothing like playing right into the hands of a team that is much taller then you by trying to run an offense that relies on a good inside player or two.

Funny to have heard Clark Kellog question it also. Why not get out and run and see if Oden and the rest of the OSU starters would keep up, at least you can possibly score some easy baskets in transition.
