Not trying to stir the pot, but is the USM/ASU transfer practicing at all?

I thought I saw on a previous thread he is practicing but not dressing out for games. Not sure why.

Heard he was practicing but not dressing for the games. Also heard that he may get another year (medical redshirt). i don't know if possible or not
May be saving a year of eligibility for him by not putting him out there.

Would that be his second medical redshirt? I'm still trying to figure out how he is eligible this year.

Graduated from ASU this summer....see Russell Wilson and Jacob Coker.
I also heard he is sitting out this season. Somehow he is getting an additional year.
Did he ever redshirt or something from his USM to ASU time to now that allows him an extra year?
Maybe they're aiming to count 2013 at Alabama State as a medical redshirt year? He redshirted at Southern Miss in 2010. Were it not for the graduate transfer status, he would be a redshirt senior this year. If he got a year back by getting a medical redshirt waiver for 2013... I thought I had a question, but I got confused.

Regular redshirt in 2010, played in 2011 and 2012 at USM, played in 2013 at ASU but maybe sparingly enough to qualify for a medical redshirt, and now he's here. This year would be undergrad year 5. But he graduated, sooooo...

That's probably the case, but a weird situation nonetheless.
I will take Orth at this point, he spent a year at prep school.
Orth is being red shirted. We will play these two and be ok in the long run. Both are learning on the job. I would hate to burn red shirts off of kids and then lose any way due to inexperience. Stick with what we have and ride it. They both had a bad game. They will bounce back.

I sure hope they can bounce back.
We've thrown more interceptions than TDs. That's a stat nobody's proud of. I'm sure everybody's working on it, and expect it to get better as the season wears on and everybody continues to get settled in.
We still have McKee, being a SR will have to account for something, if things don't go well w/ Clements/Briscoe so no need to burn Oerth redshirt

No D-I snaps with him either, so 6 in one hand, half-dozen in the other.
According to Birdsong's article on QB depth, McKee is our #3 QB at this time. The rest are being saved for spring practice by running with the scout team this season.
If these go sour again (which I hope never happens) put Mckee in and see what he has.
