FB weather doesn't get any better than this!04-cheers

Go R-R-Rockets!!!!
Well the only thing you can spin bad about that are the yellow jackets on campus. Our salsa got swarmed for pre Ball State and Missouri.

Good weather so far thus season minus last week. I think fans will want to come out this weekend because they missed #500.
Just take a tennis racket with you. That will take care of the bees
Had convicted felon Thomas "American Express" Rawls been booted I'd have picked it, UT 45 CMU 10. Without him they basically have no offense.

However, with the credit card thief on the field they can move the ball and burn some clock.

Not much discussion of the game itself, so just a few thoughts.

Although CMU has been inconsistent this season, I think they will show up ready to play and, while I expect the Rockets to win, I think the outcome will be in doubt a bit longer than was the case for the Ball State game.

Without looking up the exact stats, I feel that, unlike some seasons in the not so distant past, this team has done very, very, well in avoiding red zone meltdown and has a good record for scoring touchdowns when they get close. If they can keep this going, it alone may be enough to win the game; however, I would also like to see the turnovers start moving more into our favor as well. Ball State moved the ball on the ground against UT better than I expected, so I hope that is not also the case with CMU tomorrow night.
I think this is the first home game all season where there hasn't been some threat of rain. We've been fortunate that last week was the only time we got hit, though.

Please don't kill the bees. They are generally not aggressive, at least the ones in our yard. Even the big ones are very docile if you leave them alone. There aren't many of them and they are extremely important pollinators with the honey bees suffering such a disaster. We had a problem with them harassing the humming birds at our feeder, so we set a plate with a little sugar water in it at the other side of the yard, so now the bees go over there. If you are tailgating maybe you can set a saucer with something they want off to the side to keep them away from your food.
You will have some things working to your advantage.

Rawls spent most of last week in court and hasn't had much practice time.

Titus Davis is hurt and may be out.

Their second best receiver has been dismissed for multiple shoplifting charges, and their back up QB was let go for a felony related to drug distribution.

As far as I know the rest of the roster stayed out of trouble and should be at the Glass Bowl on Saturday.

I'm torn. This game is sort of like the movie the Longest Yard. The guards vs. the Inmates. On one hand I was pulling for the misunderstood felons, and on the other hand I felt the guards were better people and deserved to win. Ethically, I have to go with the team that is playing by the rules. UT by a couple of scores.
Hee, hee, hee, hee. Maybe we can distract him if we can get the ladies to dangle their purses over the rail. Anyone have access to some credit card signs or plaques?

Yellow jackets are not bees, they are aggressive wasps. They don't pollinate. They like to kill other insects. I've been stung twice this fall. Most of them around here are from Europe and not native to the US. I really hate those suckers.

Sometimes people refer to large bees as yellow jackets.

If you mean those little wasps about 1/2" long that look like skinny bees, yes they are wasps. (I didn't realize they are actually yellow jackets.) We have a lot of those, too. They are primarily the ones that harass the hummingbirds. We have bumble bees, carpenter bees, and a rare honey be as well, and the wasps harass those too. I started swatting the yellow jackets but there are so many it's hard to keep up. Actually they have not been aggressive toward us, though, so the plate of sugar water in a back corner of the yard took care of the problem. There must just be a huge population of them this year.

A few years back we had some kind of huge wasps or hornets (I never researched them) that nested in a hole next to our driveway. Those suckers were close to 2" long and scary looking because of their size. However, the were very docile. I'd go out to wash the car and they would buzz by once or twice and then leave you alone. Just a warning I guess. They were nice so I left them alone and worked around them and never had a single problem. (I don't like to exterminate anything unless it is really a problem.) Didn't see any for a couple years until this Spring when I saw one by the driveway, but then never saw another.

Speaking of huge populations, is anyone else having issues with huge spiders this year? We've got these huge orb weavers all over the place. Quite a few large wolf spiders, too. Never saw so many big spiders around like this year.

First off, it was a misdemeanor.

Second, to your other post, Titus Davis is playing. He is listed as the #1 WR.

Third, have fun going 1-7 in MAC play.
Well that's just rude.

I'm just hoping your team isn't handcuffed by Rawls felony convictions. Here's hoping you can steal one in Toledo. I hope Enos tries that jail break screen to Rawls, he's got get away speed. Hopefully Rawls drinks his OJ this week, it's cold season. This could be a breakout game for Rawls. If Rawls doesn't produce early he'll get sentenced to the bench. Considering Rawls recent conviction, would he be welcome at the Capital 1 Bowl? Just curious, how is it a convicted felon awaiting sentencing can leave the state and go to Ohio? What's the bounty on Rawls this week?

Is it true that "orange is the new maroon" Rimshot

CMU has gone from a 14 point dog without Rawls, to a 15 point dog with him.

Maybe the tether slows him down 03-shhhh
