AVONDALE, OH (FOX19) -

University of Cincinnati officials have identified the motorcyclist killed in an Avondale accident on Thursday as Chamoda Kennedy-Palmore, a UC football player and Lakota East graduate.

Kennedy-Palmore, 19, was riding a motorcycle on Vine Street at Forest Avenue when he was struck by vehicle, according to police. Officials say he was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital. Their condition has not been released.

Kennedy-Palmore, a red-shirt freshman walk-on, was added to the UC Football roster after the first game, according to a spokesperson from UC Athletics. He graduated from Lakota East in 2013.

Vine Street between Gleneste and Woolper was closed for several hours while Cincinnati Police investigated. It has since reopened.

Sad , tragic day
Unreal. so sad
What sad news. My heart goes out to his family. From what I read, sounded like a great young man.
Awful. One year and a couple days after we lost Ben Flick.
This is why I wish people wouldn't ride the damn things. Whether you're moving or sitting still, you're vulnerable. It's not a vehicle, it's a disaster waiting to happen.
Awful news. So sorry for this 19 year old's family.
I just can't believe we lost a football player two years in a row...wow very sad
Chamoda's accident made the national news:

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nca.../16231121/

"Ohio State announced it would hold a moment of silence in Kennedy-Palmore's memory at the game."
Unreal. Thoughts and prayers to the family, friends, and community. Wow.
Another loss well before his time. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and teammates. RIP!
Prayers to his Family, Friends, and Bearcats.
Simply tragic. Definitely feel for his family. He seemed to be a great kid, friend and teammate.

Like Ben Flick, it sounded like he was very proud to be a Bearcat and part of the team. Just very sad to hear and think about.

Prayers for all involved.
